Chipping Campden: hotel con bar

We cannot thank Cotswold House enough for ensuring perfection on our wedding day. Mandy, Christian and the whole team made sure everything ran smoothly. The food and drink was to die for - from the welcome drinks and canapes to the beautifully cooked and presented meal; we had so many compliments on the meal being the best people had ever had at a wedding. The featherblade of beef melted in your mouth! We married and had our wedding breakfast in the Montrose suite - a stunning room with vaulted ceiling which was always beautifully lit. Our guest tables were set up exactly how we wanted, and the designer cutlery and crockery really elevated the dinner. Mandy was always on hand to answer any of our questions and calm all of the last minute panics on the day - her help and guidance in the lead up to the day was invaluable. The UK weather definitely challenged us as it tipped it down for most of the day - but in the dry spells we were able to take some wonderful pictures in the gorgeous manicured gardens. Like a little Eden in the middle of bustling Chipping Campden. We had an unforgettable day thanks to everyone at this amazing venue. Thank you!

We were attending a wedding nearby so booked a night's stay here. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly. Our room was very nice with a big bathroom. It was rather warm in the room but there was a fan which helped. We returned from the wedding with a couple of friends just in time for last orders. We were told we would need to sit in the lounge area as the bar was closing, which was fine as it was a nice place to sit and chat with a bottle of wine. We slept reasonably well, the bed was very comfortable with a nice firm mattress (it is only a double and we're used to a Super King at home, but it was fine). Breakfast was good, although one of the ladies serving guests was a little brusque. There was a good choice of cereals and pastries and the cooked breakfast was very nice. Being an old building, the floors are very creaky. Overall we had a very pleasant stay at the Noel Arms.

Ogni persona con cui interagisco al Volunteer Inn era molto gentile - dalla giovane donna dietro il bar che mi ha salutato e mi ha controllato, alle capsule del ristorante indiano (nessun odore di cucina nelle camere da letto, Come ristorante completamente separato, solo se ti preoccupa!), alla signora che ha cucinato il mio delizioso colazione al mattino. Il colazione era davvero buono - caffè veramente fresco, uova fresche e grandi salsicce e bacon. Molte scelte per i vegetariano e per quelli che vogliono solo cereali. Non ero rimasto in un b&b con un bagno condiviso per anni, quindi era un po' preoccupato per questo aspetto, ma era completamente buono, perché il bagno era acceduto da una chiave e era solo condiviso con un'altra stanza. Mi sentivo al sicuro e confortevole, quindi non era una questione. Anche se sono originariamente da Cheltenham, non sono stato a Chipping Campden per decenni - Wow! È una delle città più insopportabili di Costwold che ho visto, con le case più insopportabili in un posto che credo abbia mai visto! I villaggi con cui ho parlato erano così molto utili e amichevoli (era in cerca di nuove strette per la mia riunione di sera biz!) Sembra che anche la città sia direttamente sulla strada Cotswold, quindi tornerò con mia figlia e avrò un buon vecchio abito! Raccomandare molto forte - la camera da letto era semplice, ma pulita e molto confortevole (l'unico motivo per cui ho segnato un 4 sulla pulizia è stato perché il mio piccolo giacca di rifiuti non era stato vuoto dal soggiorno precedente ....sentito un po' medio fare questo, ma, Beh, è importante ...) Non posso aspettare di tornare indietro!
