Si tratta di un ex monastero del 17° secolo, collocato vicino al centro in zona pedonale tranquilla, dotato di un parcheggio interno (gratuito). Per accedere all’isola pedonale in macchina bisogna schiacciare il pulsante del citofono davanti al dissuasore stradale e dichiarare di essere ospite della struttura. Le camere, che si raggiungono con l’ascensore, sono di medie dimensioni arredate in modo essenziale con un piccolo bagno con doccia (abbastanza funzionale). La colazione non è compresa ma a pagamento ( 10 euro non abbiamo usufruito) è servita in un bel locale con soffito a volta in pietra. Il personale cortese e disponibile. All’ingresso è disponibile distributore automatico di bevande.

Un po' difficile da raggiungere ma la posizione è fantastica, vicinissima alla Cattedrale con parcheggio interno a disposizione. Il personale e' molto cordiale e ci ha aspettato nonostante siamo arrivati molto tardi. Le camere sono essenziali ma spaziose e pulite. La colazione (non inclusa) è nella media. Buon rapporto prezzo qualità

Budget accommodations very close to the center of old town Chartres. Comfortable but spartan. The reason I rated it two stars was that my key was deactivated and there is no one, absolutely no one, working here or monitoring the property. I had to wait outside in the rain, locked out, until my friend luckily reached someone who came and let me in. Kinda scary as there is no help or security. I wish I would have picked somewhere else to stay. If you can afford a nicer room I would recommend you stay elsewhere.

Location closed to main attractions, room very basic but clean, parking available in hotel's courtyard, nice view over the city. HOWEVER: the lady at the reception was not friendly at check in; moreover she didn't mention the closed gate at night and how to enter, so we spent some time in the cold, until figuring out by ourselves how to open the gate door. Next morning, the lady serving and cleaning the breakfast room very rudely shouted at a guest and made her put the food she took back in the tray. Then, she came to me, while I was eating, and started to shout at me in French for a good 2 minutes, despite the fact I told her I don't know French and cannot understand what she wants. She might have been mad because I took a photo with the breakfast buffet, but the simple fact that an employee is allowed to shout at a guests is a good indication on how valued customers are in this hotel. Last not least, breakfast was very basic, with lots of foods constantly missing (juice, bread etc) because they brought only small quantities of each, that were quickly taken by guests. In short, a bitter sweet experience.

The hotel itself is lovely and very conveniently placed to visit the cathedral. However there are so many one way, very narrow streets, it's very difficult to find the hotel parking. You have to drive through a road bollard & get it lowered by pressing a button to ask. Nowhere is that mentioned & it definitely should be!

Great place but an absolute nightmare to find it. Why can't the hotel provide a close up map showing how to get ther once in Chartres. Other than that a great stay especially being in the old part of Chartres
