Sono rimasto qui in viaggio di una ragazza a Charleston e sono riuscito anche a utilizzare punti American Express che erano un bonus. (Era un LOT di punti, ma il tasso di camera notturna era abbastanza alto, quindi mi aspettavo che fosse così). L'hotel è bella, tranquilla ma fredda vibrazione, molto sottovalutata. La mia stanza, mentre piccola, era tranquilla, ben designata (grande cappello) e il letto era così comodo. Uno che mi sembrava strano era che non c'erano opzioni in camera da caffè o espresso. Hanno avuto una stazione di servizio per il caffè mattinale nel lobby, che era buona, e non c'erano posti dove prendere una morsa veloce per prendere il cammino che sarebbe stato conveniente. Due delle mattine che ero lì non avevo tempo di ordinare servizio in camera o di andare in sala per ordinare colazione, così ho finito di mangiare un granola bar che avevo con me da quando incontrai persone per altre attività. Il servizio in tutto il consiglio è stato eccellente. Le viste del Citrus Club erano bellissime, anche se il servizio sembrava troppo lento e l'intera carta chiave/attesa di entrata non sembrava necessaria, perché dovevamo aspettare venti minuti per arrivare lì e trovare il 50% completo (forse un problema di personale? Indipendentemente da quanto sia bello, è un hotel, un isolato dalla King Street.

The welcome was friendly.. The ambience classy. Nice dining options. Rooms was immaculate and very comfortable. Not a great view, but a nice view, we could look out at the harbor if we stood near the window. We did not use the pool, but it did get a lot of use which we could see from our window. Less superb was the valet service. Efficient but not particularly friendly at $55 per night plus tips. The window in our room needed to be washed. The resort fee included an 8 am yoga class, but looking out at the pool we did not see yoga practitioners there. The wine reception is 3:30 - 4:30, which is an awkward time to get back to the hotel if you are touring. We got back at 4:45 - too late. The location is great. We like Hilton's Curio Collection and this added to our preference for this Hilton category. For a splurge, this hotel is fine. Pricey with the add-ons of the resort fee and the parking, but overall it provides a high-quality experience at the price.

Charleston, SC è perfetto per questo approccio, e la posizione di Fulton Lane Inn rende facile scoprire il meglio della città tra Calhoun St. e la batteria. Una passeggiata facile per il mercato centrale, Riley Park, Charleston Music Hall e molti altri luoghi divertenti. Ma non dovete camminare ovunque; alcune compagnie di trasporto di cavalli offrono tour della città, e dovete prendere il traghetto a Fort Sumter se avete il tempo. Abbiamo prenotato un viaggio di ultima istanza a Charleston e abbiamo deciso di rimanere al The Planters Inn sulla base di altre recensioni. Il personale si è arrampicato indietro per assicurarsi di avere tutto quello che ci serviva e ha dato grandi raccomandazioni per la vista e la cena. La posizione era perfetta e centrale a tutto. Non posso dire abbastanza buone cose su questo hotel e il personale.

Sono rimasto qui nel Renaissance qualche volta prima di questo, e in generale, mi sono divertito. Ciò detto, anche se c'era un buon servizio, mi sembra che le cose cominciano a scorrere, rendendolo più lungo le linee di un hotel 2 o 3 stelle, non una 4 stelle. E non c'era niente come la pressione dell'acqua nel mio doccia, era orribile, il bacino del doccia era inondato, come il drenaggio deve essere stato bloccato, e c'era un pellet di pellicola intorno al fittro della luce nel doccia. Inoltre, la lampada sul lato del letto, attaccata al muro, si stava spruzzando, e si sentiva un po' come un ghetto.Il mio letto era buono, ma non sorprendente, e i mobili da sedere sembravano un po' indossati. So che deve essere difficile gestire un hotel a 4 stelle e mantenere le cose standard, ma solo da queste cose essere parte della mia esperienza non ha rocciato il mio mondo mentre lì, ma ho aspettato di più dalla Renaissance e è il rating a 4 stelle.

Vorrei che le camere fossero altrettanto belle come il lobby. Mi trasferirei in un soggiorno e visitarei il lobby in rotta al bar al tetto. Le camere non sono in buona riparazione come dovrebbero essere per un hotel a scala superiore. Superficialmente, hanno un tema francese brillante, con tutto il trim dipinto un rosso brillante. In funzione, la nostra stanza aveva dipinto la pittura nel bagno (dove il pavimento e il muro si incontrano). La porta si stava aperta a metà strada, e c'era un A/C estremamente alto che ci svegliava ogni volta che si svolta la notte. Ci fu dato una nuova stanza in un corridoio remoto che aprì ad una scala di legno decrepita. Molto strano! Volevo piacere questo hotel. È molto ben situato, ma non posso raccomandare in buona fede per un soggiorno di notte.
