Lovely, quiet and very clean. Beds pretty comfortable too and you have access to drinks if you fancy until 1am. Breakfast only starts at 7am but that might be because i went off-peak season. Staff are helpful. Breakfast is okay but would like to see more savoury options. (no hot breakfast available) Very close to the train station so easy to travel during the day, but the hostel is down a bit of a back street so was a little difficult to find at first. Overall a good stay and would recommend for travellers!

The hotel location was very convenient! Just 7 minutes away from the train & bus station. Easy to find. Very quiet and clean hotel. The pillow and bed and sheet were comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Plus, i was impressed with the interiors. Breakfast was good. Wifi connection was good too. You can also karaoke at this hostel. Big screen! So much fun. Oh ya, this hostel provides towel without any charges. Win! Overall I’m fully satisfied and definitely come back soon. Really enjoyed my stay.

Volo in ritardo di tre ore, quindi siamo arrivati a charleroi a notte fonda, aeroporto senza bus e senza taxi, eravamo disperati, ormai pensavamo di dover dormire in aeroporto e di perdere i soldi della stanza in ostello. Poi alle 2:30 di notte il ragazzo della reception ci ha mandato un messaggio per chiederci dove fossimo e alla fine è riuscito a trovarci un taxi che venisse a prenderci e vi posso assicurare che era impossibile trovarne uno, io stessa avrò fatto 10 telefonate tutte senza risultato. Siamo arrivati in ostello che erano quasi le 4 del mattino e il ragazzo ci ha aspettato per darci le chiavi così abbiamo finalmente potuto riposarci. Solo per questo questo ostello merita il massimo dei voti. Essere aiutati nel momento del bisogno è la cosa più importante. Inoltre camera e colazione tutto perfetto. L'ostello è comodissimo per raggiungere la stazione ferroviaria, quindi anche da sto punto di vista per noi è stato il massimo della comodità. Lo consiglio assolutamente.

Centrally located spotlessly clean hostel. 20 mins from airport (€6 local bus) More than adequate breakfast , a good selection to choose from. Comfortable beds with clean bedding Friendly staff. Easily recommend for your short stay in Charleroi

A perfume was stolen from my room during our stay. Which is even more strange considering the fact that no cleaning service is being provided: there are no towels/changing the towels, no soap, no changing of bed sheets (guest does it himself at the check in and check out), no removing the garbage from the bin. So noone should have had the approach to the room except from myself. This was reported to the reception on 6 May 2024 but they didn't seem much upset.

Best hostel I've ever stayed in. Quiet, super clean shower and toilet in every dorm, well designed bunks with usb charging and individual lighting and great mattresses, superb buffet breakfast, really convenient for bus and train, nearby parking bays, friendly staff. Reception till 1 aim, not 11pm as in the website. Only problem for old people like me was ladder access to upper bunks. I had a shoulder injury and really suffered.

Being a frequent traveler I have stayed in many hostel all around the world but I found this the best so far. Yes it is little expensive but believe me with inflation of economy around the world and also here I think it is a reasonable price. Hostel is itself located at the walking distance from the Charleroi central station which makes you even convenient to travel around. Breakfast is good, they provide free water in reception also a little bar they have if you are tired from long travel and want to have a beer even cheaper price than supermarket. If you wanted to eat around side of the hostel I found a restaurant cause tacos recommended by the reception staff. Of course how can I forget about the staff they all speak English and always smiling makes you feel very welcome and comfortable, will assist you with any queries without any hesitation. My room was bed with 6 dormitories comfy bed and charging socket next to you and also separate toilet and bathroom for 6 of us very clean and tidy. I would definitely come back and recommend all to go and stay in this hostel. 6 euros and 7 min ride from bus to the central Charleroi and then walking distance Well done team and see you again. Merci be-coup 😄😄

The first thing to say is - I'm not usually a Youth Hostel person so I'll give the Auberge de Jeunesse lots of credit here. Met by friendly receptionist who was helpful in telling me all the important information including the shuttle bus back to Charleroi Airport. The room I got was a "Basic Single Room" - which was just a 2 bed dorm with Single occupancy. It did exactly what it said on the tin - it had a bed, toilet, shower, sink, plugs and table/chairs - just what was needed for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable despite having to do the pillowcase/bed sheets/duvet cover myself, but I guess that's a hostel thing! The one downside to my stay was the amount of noise from outside my room - which I believe was next to a shared area. Constant banging, whistling and cheering until about 12.30am led to not much sleep being had until then - luckily my flight home was in the afternoon, it would be awful if you had an early connection! Breakfast was offered and was a good continental offering, some hot food would have been nice but the breakfast I had was more than acceptable. For a grand total of €37 including breakfast, this place is extremely good value for money, but expect noise before you go to sleep! I would return if I was coming back to Charleroi.
