Hotel in zona Merchant Marine Academy, Chania

Ottimo hotel con posizione centralissima in zona piena di negozi e supermercati,vicinissima alla città vecchia.Pulizia eccellente effettuata tutti i giorni tranne la domenica,personale molto cottese e la colazione è servita in box lunch.Non ha un parcheggio privato ma è possibile parcheggiare lungo le strade limitrofe.Consigliatissimo

Stavo in suite con vista sul mare. La vista era sorprendente. La camera era bella, il letto era super comodo. C'era una bella tavola di vanità da prepararsi. Il bagno era grande e pulito. Il servizio alla ricezione era molto utile. La posizione era grande nella vecchia città, ma non troppo rumorosa - musica dal ristorante stasera, ma mi piaceva e le campane della chiesa domenica. Un paio di cose da sottolineare: non c’era mobili nei balconi e fuori da un po’, non c’era mobili nella stanza per muoversi fuori, quindi non c’era nulla da sedersi per godere di balcone e la vista. Anche la tenda era solo metà di quella per bloccare la luce, per chiudere i serbatoi che poi restringe l'aria. Non mi importava, ma se volessi dormire l'oscurità, potrei avere bisogno di portare un maschero agli occhi. Come ho detto solo cose minori. In generale grande posto. Acqua calda - mi riferisco come so che questo è importante per le persone :)

Sono stato molto contento di stare qui per 6 notti. Sono arrivato tardi alla notte, quindi la ricezione dell'hotel era un po' difficile da trovare, e ero nervoso perché tutti i negozi erano chiusi e le strade erano tipo vuote, ma in realtà il quartiere è completamente sicuro e giusto nel mezzo di tutte le azioni. Adoro avere tutto a posto a mia porta - ristoranti, negozi, il vecchio centro città. La stanza era pulita e in realtà molto più grande di quanto mi aspettassi. Buon wifi, aria condizionata potente, comodo letto. In generale, ho avuto un grande soggiorno e mi sono molto raccomandato di guardare il loro bilancio, ma di voler essere al centro di tutto.

Die Lage des Hotels ist definitv sehr gut und ein Plus Punkt. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und die Dame an der Bar hat uns ein Willkommensdrink gegeben. Das Hotel wirkt am Eingang recht hochwertig und man fuehlt sich gut aufgehoben. Ich würde sagen es hat kein 5-Sterne Niveau, aber so um die 3,5-4 absolut. Das Zimmer das wir bekommen hatten, hatte leider keine Fenster (in der Beschreibung stand es gibt eins). Kein Problem für uns. Unsere größter Kritikpunkt ist, da es in der Dusche keine Tür gab, weil diese entfernt wurde. Somit konnte man leider nicht richtig duschen ohne Wasser nach außen zu spritzen. Als wir es beim Empfang bescheid gegeben hatten, gab es leider nur ein „wussten wir gar nicht“ und lieber ans klingelnde Telefon gehen und den Gast stehen lassen. Wer soll es dann wissen wenn nicht das Hotel, leider somit weit entfernt von 5-Sterne Service. Eine kleine Entschuldigung hatten wir erwartet, und das man sich dem Problem annimmt. Finde ich wirklich Schade, dass man so viel Geld und dann ein Zimmer bekommt, welches nicht dem Standard entspricht und eigentlich nicht auf dem gewollten Niveau ist um an Gäste vergeben zu werden. Zum Glück haben wir nur einen Tag hier verbracht und vorher in einem richtigen 5-Sterne Hotel die Woche verbracht. Ich kann hier wirklich nur overall 3/5 Sterne geben.

We stayed here on our first time visit to Crete and it did not disappoint! The hotel is in the heart of the Old Town and a few feet from a plethora of restaurants and shops! The hotel is situated in front of the harbor that is buzzing with people and activities. Our room had an amazing sea view! We could not get enough of the gorgeous view! Our room was well-sized and pretty. The hotel staff were very attentive and accommodating. The included breakfast was generous and included traditional Cretan fare with fruits, pastries, eggs, assorted breads, etc., Neo Chora beach is walking distance from the hotel. We spent an enjoyable time on this quiet beach. I would stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

Prima di tutto, i punti negativi, che non sono molto, solo 3 piccoli punti. 1 era il bagno ....molto piccolo, dovevamo stare nel doccia per poter chiudere la porta quando entrava nel bagno, perché non c'era abbastanza spazio per muoversi! La seconda TV ha continuato a perdere le stazioni, quindi non potevamo guardare nessuna TV. E infine, la ”tavola di vestire” aveva lo specchio così alto, dovevo sedermi su 2 pizzi per poter vedere me stesso (e non sono una persona breve!) Ma per il resto .......Il letto enorme ci ha dato il miglior sonno mai, era una stanza spaziale, Il colazione era presso l'hotel vicino alla porta, e aveva un colazione molto lussuoso a disposizione da frutta fresca a uova fritte ......freschi prodotti di panificazione varie opzioni. La ragazza dietro il contone, penso che Constantina fosse estremamente utile, ci ha fatto anche una borsa per colazione, perché il giorno in cui partivamo era molto presto, che abbiamo trovato molto considerato. In generale, era una esperienza molto piacevole

We have just spent a week at Corinna Mare. We were looking for something good value and didn’t want to spend alot, but still nice and clean and nice pool area. They appeared to be fully booked, but when I contacted them were able to accommodate us if we swapped rooms half way through - which we were fine to do, they gave us a discount for this. Our first room was a studio, and the bathroom was a bit tired, however, the room was big and the bed was big and comfy. There was an issue with the sink when we checked in and they rectified this immediately. The second room was the apartment. We weren’t sure what to expect as it was road facing - however, the bedroom went onto the side and so there was no noise. This was a more up to date room. Both rooms were clean. I think for what you pay here it is really good value. The pool area was excellent, and there is also a little pebbly beach area. There are two pools, one is deeper and it’s no jumping etc. and another shallower pool more aimed at kids. This has a lifeguard. The bar is reasonably priced, and the staff are great. We had a few meals at the restaurant. Salads are massive as are sandwiches. The Greek omelette was really good. We only had dinner one night, and it was gorgeous. There is a great view of sunset. They do some fixed menu deals which were very good value (€20 or less for starter and main) and really nice. I am coeliac, and so gluten free and there was plenty of choice and the staff were accommodating. There is a shop just over the road for any basics, you buy your bus tickets there for Chania. 15mins on bus, they are really regular and run until about 1am. €1.50 per person. We hired a small car for a couple of days (€55 per day - mars) to go to lake kournas, and also the botanical gardens. We did a trip to the Samaria Gorge, getting picked up outside the hotel. Yannis at reception was really helpful with any questions we had and helped with booking dinner reservation. The staff in general were friendly, helpful and laidback. There is a really nice atmosphere in the hotel and in general with the area, the locals are all really friendly. We went to To Antikristo for dinner on our last night and this was favourite meal. Well worth the journey to get there.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura la prima settimana di Agosto del 2022. Posto molto accogliente e confortevole, l'appartamento era in buone condizioni (ad eccezione dell'aria condizionata che a volte non funzionava). Personale molto cordiale, ristorante ottimo (consigliamo la serata organizzata dall'hotel in stile tipicamente greco), qualche dubbio però rimane sulla colazione che ci è risultata un po' limitata. Consigliamo inoltre questa struttura soprattutto per la sua ottima posizione e per la fermata del bus posta davanti all'albergo, questa risulta essere molto comoda per raggiungere le spiagge nei pressi della struttura e inoltre molto utile per raggiungere Canea, città che consigliamo assolutamente di visitare. Consigliamo comunque il noleggio di un auto per visitare le bellissime spiagge poste ad Est dell'isola.

Can only echo all the other reviews. From the moment you enter the clean smart reception there is an air of total relaxation. all of the staff were very attentive without being over the top. Special mentions go to Manager owner Petros whose genuine customer service and caring sets the culture for the entire hotel to restaurant staff Manolo and Anastasia both of whom are great characters and made the stay extremely enjoyable. The food was absolutely AMAZING the milanese risotto with ossobucco takes a lot of beating but this was surpassed by the lobster and scallop soup (see photo). We could not fault the room either. Yes is was one of the top rooms the dome suite 532 and yes the views from both inside and the pool were great. There was the coastal rd but did not interfere with the relaxing vibe. Prices within the hotel were very fair, often cheaper than outside (which is fantastic based on the quality). The Cretan wines recommended by Manolo were some of the best we have experienced. Would certainly book this again, just looking for the excuse now.

Superb hotel. Perfect location right on the beach with shallow, clear waters. Sun beds free as part of the hotel plus drinks and food are served to your sun bed on the beach too. The bar area was gorgeous overlooking the beach, with a beautiful sunset every evening around 8:15pm. George and Kostas were so friendly and regularly gave us a free bowl of crisps with our drinks which the children loved. Little touches mean a lot. We stayed in a maisonette which worked great with our 10 and 11 year old as they had twin beds and their own bathroom upstairs, with a sliding door at the top of the stairs for privacy, whilst we had our own double bed and bathroom downstairs plus balcony The room was cleaned every day and clean towels provided daily too. Free towels provided for the beach every day. Agia Marina is a long road of restaurants and shops with Gorgona, Rustic Garden and Nymfi (live music on a Sunday, plus a children’s play area), are all excellent restaurants. Chania was a 35 min bus ride (stop 5 minute walk from hotel) or 15 mins via car €17. Very pretty harbour but very busy! You can’t go wrong with this hotel for a family holiday.
