Irai Safari Retreat

Twelve of us from Sri Lanka travelling with "Cinnamon Trails" stayed at Irai Safari Retreat for six days from 14th to 20th May 2025 while we visited Tadoba National Park. The rooms were large, spacious and clean with fresh bedding and toweling and included all facilities such as air-conditioning, TV, fridge, adequate extra seating, kettle with tea and coffee etc. The bathroom too was spacious and had hot water. There are some fourteen units of cottages distributed within the large well maintained luscious green property. The food was tasty and wholesome served in a clean environment in the dining room. We spent the evenings comfortably in the adjoining lounge enjoying ourselves while having a drink of our choice. We were provided with cool water and drinks when travelling to the Park. There is a swimming pool too. The management made a great effort to provide all our needs and to keep us contented. The staff were efficient, courteous and ever helpful. Recommended without any reservation.

We stayed here from 8th to 10th May with a group of 10 friends, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of fantastic! The location is absolutely ideal – less than 2 km from the Moharli gate, which made our safari plans super convenient. You can literally be in your safari vehicle within minutes of leaving the property. What really sets this place apart is the outstanding service. The staff truly treat you like royalty. Their approach is very safari-focused – they provide chilled fruit juices and water bottles before each safari, and even adjust breakfast and high-tea timings based on your safari schedule. It’s the small things that make a difference: they wait with you until your safari vehicles arrive, help you get in comfortably using custom stools, and welcome you back with refreshing wet towels. It’s this attention to detail that makes the stay special. Rooms: We stayed in the Lakeview Villa, and it was a total delight. The room was spacious, the bed and linen were excellent, and the bathroom was huge – complete with a bathtub and modern, clean fittings. The room was well-maintained and felt luxurious. As we say in Mumbai, it was full “Paisa-Wasool!” Food was another highlight – tasty, fresh, and reasonably priced. A special mention for the Chicken Saoji – I absolutely loved it. It had the perfect blend of spice and flavor, and quickly became a group favorite. If you're planning a trip to Tadoba, especially near the Moharli gate, I highly recommend this place. Perfect for a group getaway with all the comforts and care you’d want during a wildlife adventure.

Nice spacious rooms . Due to summer could not enjoy outdoors .Very good Indian food though a bit oily. Staff very courteous and helpful. Made it enjoyable esp with two seniors needing wheelchair etc. the place is a good birding area within the boundaries.

Luxury at the lap of nature, luxurious cottages, amenities, friendly staff, delicious food, overall best for a serious stay in the forest with family and friends as-well. Naturalist Mr Deepak Pate who accompanied us in all our 5 safaris is very knowledgeable and I really appreciate his humbleness
