"Our first trip to Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve turned out to be far more than just a quest for tiger sightings—it was an experience that will stay with us for a lifetime. We chose Irai Safari Retreat based on Google reviews, albeit with a degree of skepticism (as one tends to have these days). But from the very beginning, Irai didn’t just meet expectations—it quietly and consistently exceeded them. The journey started with a seamless booking process, thoughtfully handled by Shruti, who planned every detail for us, including our safari arrangements, with remarkable precision. From check-in to check-out, every moment felt carefully curated. There was a clear sense that the team took pride in going above and beyond, with each staff member seemingly striving to make our stay even better than the last interaction. The cottages were comfortable and well-equipped, the food was consistently delicious, and everything functioned exactly as it should—simple things, done exceptionally well. Spotless clean, aesthetically designed luxury cottages, equipped with every device one might need, each one working perfectly well. What truly stood out, however, were the thoughtful touches. Cool boxes stocked with water and juices for afternoon safaris, neatly packed early-morning breakfasts at 5:30 am (complete with a variety of sandwiches and delicious poha), and perhaps most memorable of all—being handed freshly made, piping hot parathas with curd and pickle as we checked out, knowing we had a long drive back to Pune on the Samruddhi Mahamarg, where good food options are scarce. It was a small gesture, but one that spoke volumes. And ah, how could I forget the refrigerated face towels at the entrance, on return from the safari in unbelievably hot weather. A special mention must go to Mr. Deepak Pate, the Hotel Manager and Naturalist. The moment he learned it was our first visit to Tadoba, he personally accompanied us on both safaris. His deep understanding of the forest—tracking pugmarks, interpreting animal calls, and guiding the jeep team—added an entirely new dimension to our experience. The entire team, led by Mr. Vaibhav and supported by Ganesh, Praful, Shankar, Mangesh, Atul, Sitaram, and everyone else whose name I may have missed out, made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. Their warmth, dedication and eager-to-please approach transformed a great trip into an unforgettable one. There’s no doubt in our minds—whenever we return to the southern part of Tadoba, Irai Safari Retreat will feel less like a hotel and more like home."

"We were a big family group of 26 people, ranging in age from 7 to 70+, and we had diverse requests. Saurabh and his team accommodated all of our needs with the utmost grace and attention to detail. Food was delicious- each and every dish, with plenty of choices for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Rooms were gorgeous, comfortable and spacious. Our entire family was in rooms around a central patio which was perfect for us to mingle and gather. Each of our rooms had a king bed, plus a twin bed, as well as another twin bed on the loft level. Plenty of room for a family of 4, and the best part, each room has 2 bathrooms to facilitate early morning safari departures! I would highly recommend for a 5-star like jungle resort experience, especially for a big group."

"During our recent visit to Tadoba Tiger Reserve, we stayed at Camp Serai Tiger, and it truly enhanced our overall experience. Nestled on the edge of the buffer zone, the resort offers a perfect blend of comfort and proximity to nature. The location is ideal—just a short drive from the Moharli gate and Khutvanda Gate—which made our safari logistics smooth and hassle-free. The tents were spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with all basic amenities while retaining a rustic charm that blends beautifully with the surrounding forest. Waking up to the sounds of birds and distant jungle calls was a serene experience. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. Food was another highlight. The home-cooked style meals, mostly local cuisine, were delicious and satisfying. They even accommodated our dietary requests without any fuss. What stood out the most was the resort’s peaceful ambiance. After the excitement of the safaris, returning to the quiet, green premises of Camp Serai Tiger was the perfect way to unwind. Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast or just looking to disconnect and relax, this resort is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tadoba."
