Manuka Lodge is the best hidden treasure ever! Tucked away in a dead end road surrounded by native bush this characteristic log chalet offers superb privacy. It has an outdoor spa and 2 large sunny decks with rustic furniture. Manuka Lodge is often used for wedding nights for it’s romantic and secluded location.Manuka lodge is a pearl of a log cabin… with all the luxuries supplied from outdoor spa to dishwasher and a fantastic DVD selection to relax by on a rainy day. The living area is not big but cozy with a logfire and built-in fireguard. The chalet has a well equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, stove, big fridge/freezer etc. The downstairs bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a comfortable queensize bed and an extra ‘gaming’TV.A second small bedroom offers a double bed. On the open mezzanine are a double, a single and a trundler. Manuka lodge can handle 6 adults max – just let us know if you want to bring children (max 3). The mezzanine opens up to a balcony, a great place to have your morning coffee.The outdoor deck area is absolutely superb with, besides the spa, a rustic macracarpa table and bench and on the far deck another modern diningtable. 2 comfortable cape cod chairs can make you dream away… Plenty of space for sunbathing, just surrounded by private bush. Note that the spa is a bonus but not a given (due to unforseen circumstances it is not always operational). Affordable chalet with magnificent views of the surrounding mountain landscape. Peaceful setting with wonderful private balcony. The chalet is cosy for two, and has room for up to eight if people sleep on the mezzanine floor. The winter has wonderful snow skiing with the skifield only 8 kms up the road. In summer do the biking and hiking or swim in our mountain tarn! This chalet is situated at the top end of Mt Lyford village close to the start of the ski field road and the shuttle stop.It sits above the eastern side of the village and looks directly out over the Whalesback and Seaward Kaikoura Ranges.Sandy Heights is great for 1 or 2 small families and has 2 bedrooms and a mezzanine. Both bedrooms have a queen bed each,and there are 2 singles and 2 trundlers on the mezzanine floor.There is a cosy log fire in the lounge which easily warms the house on cold days. The lounge is open to the ceiling and gives the house a nice airy feel. The mezzanine has the perfect spot for a kids play zone, so the adults can have a quiet space in the lounge.A fully equipped kitchen with fridge and freezer,stovetop,microwave makes your stay a breeze. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin. Lancewood Lodge is cosy for four, and has room for 12 people or more. The lodge is fully equipped and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The big lounge is a comfortable meeting place to relay your outdoor activities of the day to one another, while enjoying a well earned glass of wine. The children can wind down watching a movie or playing games.With its 4 bedrooms Lancewood Lodge is ideal for 4 couples and can even handle their children. The lodge is equipped with 2 bathrooms with shower, toilet and basin in each. The big lounge provides ample space to relax after a day in the outdoors. The open plan kitchen makes sure that the cook for the day is just as much part of the conversation.A cozy log fire attributes to the atmosphere of this quirky log chalet. Downstairs is one bedroom with a kingsize bed and a single bunkbed. Follow the stairs under the porch up and arrive at a balcony with access to 3 other bedrooms and a bathroom. The furthest bedroom has a queensize bed and a single; the middle bedroom has a double bed and a single and the closest bedroom has a fourposter queensize bed, a single and a pile of mattresses. The kitchen is open plan and fully equipped to dish up a lovely meal.The large living room offers ample space for everyone to relax. The other settee is set up around a TV with freeview. The kitchen has an oven/hob, big fridge/freezer and dishwasher.The 2 bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, have a shower, basin and toilet each.One upstairs bedroom (with a double and single bed) opens up onto a large balcony with fantastic views. The downstairs bedroom has a comfortable queensize bed. The big bedroom upstairs has an american kingsize bed and 2 singles; the other in between bedroom contains 3 singles and extra matresses. An extra TV in this room gives the kids their own space and leaves the adults in peace downstairs. The mezzanine floor offers a quiet corner to relax with a book and a view to the garden.The large lawns around the chalet offer plenty of space to play games both in summer and winter. Free WIFI is included. You will be able to relax on the several decks, enjoying the beautiful view of Mt Lyford and the Seaward Kaikouras in total privacy and seclusion.The Beeches is an adorable little cabin, ideal fora romantic break for two. It has a log burner, stove/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, TV, a bedroom with comfortable double bed with duvets and pillows and 2 single beds on the mezzanine, and just about everything you’d need for your stay.Please note: no pets.There is an underground ‘cellar’ in the garden; a cool little hide out for some kids play.There is plenty to do at Mt Lyford in both summer and winter; the ski field is 10kms from this log chalet and has excellent facilities for families, there is also ice skating, tennis, walking, swimming holes, the hot pools at Hanmer, several golf courses within easy reach, and Mt Lyford Lodge offers an ambient bar and restaurant meals.Note that bedlinens are not standard included but can be arranged on request.
