I would recommend Mayan fallas it's a very quiet unique place to stay it's 10 minutes from all the tourist traffic . Very clean comfortable and very safe . I would highly recommend Mayan falls. It is 3 minutes away from the airstrip you can walk . There are closed by stores and 2;places to purchase food . It's really easy to get around .. if you come to caye caulker book you rooms know at Mayan falls.

Mayan Falls is on the quieter airport end of Caye Caulker. Initially we were worried that it would be too removed from the busy areas but we found out that it was actually a superior location because it’s still in a beautiful setting and we actually WANTED to retreat to a place of beauty and relative quiet after the crowded activities of the busy days. The hotel is in an improvement phase in 2024 with a new owner - Nick from Ohio, USA - who is incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsible. The prior owner had stopped maintaining the property years ago. Nick has been very busy with renovations and restoring the beauty and atmosphere. Beds and linens are new, great water pressure since the hotel now has its own system. The pool area is really nice. Bottom line, we definitely recommend this hotel when staying on Caye Caulker.

The place was filled with mosquitoes outdoors. You had to spray yourself with bug spray continuously just to get to your cart. The pool was dirty when we arrived and weren’t able to use it for the entire week. Water was off and own and unpredictable. We had to shower early in the morning or before late night to confirm we were able to shower. There was a lizard inside when we arrived that we had to chase out. The couch and bed mattress were filthy and no wash cloths were available only towels that you had to pay for if you needed clean ones. The a/c was only working in one of the rooms. We stayed out of the room most of the day during our stay because after seeing the condition upon arrival it was past the point of receiving a refund. There is no host on site so the only method of communication is through email on your arrival and during your stay. Don’t waste your money on this disaster.

We were a large university student group. The rooms were comfortable, and each had a separate BR and bathroom - students either shared a double-bed or one student slept on the futon right as you walked into the room (2 per room). We had one issue with an AC, and the local manager responded quickly and fixed the problem. The pool was clean and very refreshing. The location is near the airstrip, which meant that several students rented golf carts to drive into "downtown" - the roads in Caye Caulker were a bit bumpy this time of year. We rented the rooms through Vacasa, so there was no front desk (we got codes to the room). There is a gate that can be locked and then opened with a code.
