Carvalhal: i migliori hotel a 5 stelle

The good; the bed is very comfortable, the breakfast buffet is plentiful and well presented and the staff are lovely - very friendly and welcoming. The not so good; the fabric/decor of the building is tired and dated. There seems to be no interest in updating the rooms or maintaining the common areas. The interior looks like a 1980's nightclub, lots of dark leather couches and mirrored walls. The bad; the smell from the bathroom, the ”kitchenette' that is designed to be seen but not used, ditto the massive old bathtub with a 'save water' sign above it. The air con that doesn't go below 19c leaving us to keep the balcony door open overnight and being very badly bitten by mosquitos, or maybe the tiny flies that infest the swimming pool area. The terrible; the restaurant. I've had worse food. I've eaten at more expensive restaurants but for awful food at eye watering prices this place wins. Simply dreadful. Conclusion; we booked for a week, went home after 4 nights and were very happy to leave.

The Editory by the Sea is in a great location on the eastern side at the top of the Troia peninsula. Very good service in the hotel, all the staff helpful. Our room was classed as an apartment, however it was really a big - ish bedroom with a sink and basic cooking facilities. But for what we wanted it was ideal, comfy bed, good shower, good WiFi, balcony with a great view overlooking the Sado estuary (on the east side of the hotel). Clean and well maintained. The food was very good, excellent breakfast, apart from the coffee from the flasks, I would recommend you ask for a coffee from the machine. We ate dinner here twice and it was very good. The location is about 200mtrs from the passenger ferry to Setubal, which is a fun thing to do for an evening in Setubal. Also walking distance from a really lovely beach. There is limited parking unless you choose to park underground at 9€ a day, we went in May and the only time we couldn't park in the car park was at the weekend. The troia mariner is again about 200mtrs, it has a few bars and restaurants, some of which hadn't as yet opened for the summer, good views out over the bay. Some of the other buildings in Troia are somewhat stark ie the conference centre and ****** so it is slightly unusual architecturally but otherwise a great location.

Ottimo appartamento, a un prezzo ragionevole. L'appartamento ha tutto quello che è necessario per trascorrere 5 o 7 giorni. Una grande stanza con cucina, balcone con tavolo e sedie con vista per la marina, TV via cavo con un'ottima immagine di una TV LG 55 pollici OLED. Camera eccellente, letto molto spazioso, letto perfetto. L'intera casa ha aria condizionata e Wi-Fi. Infine, la macchina è parcheggiata in una spaziosa garage sotterranea dell'edificio. Solo richiamo l'attenzione che l'immagine che il sistema mette in questi appartamenti non corrisponde alla realtà. Il nome giusto di questi appartamenti è ”Troia Residence - Apartamentos Marina”, situato sulla strada dell'Aroeira, sulla strada della GNR.

Appartamenti spaziosi e piacevoli, vicino a una piccola marina, spiaggia fantastica, parco infantile mostrato nelle immagini non esistente, orario del singolo supermercato nel resort ridotto, rete WiFi debole, poche attività da svolgere intorno, Poiché è un resort potrebbe dare accesso alle attività in altre unità come l'accesso alle piscine. La piscina interna continua chiusa dalla pandemia, in sua assenza dovrebbe essere possibile accedere all'altra piscina del resort come accade con la colazione. La spiaggia è il vantaggio più grande perché è meravigliosa ma per pochi giorni perché il complesso è molto piccolo. Buono per un fine settimana rilassante.

La nostra esperienza è stata molto piacevole.Abbiamo avuto il nostro parcheggio in un parcheggio privato sotterraneo, un piccolo giardino dove si rilassava quando il sole era troppo caldo e una piscina condivisa per godere di una piccola piscina. Tutto molto pulito e in linea con le regole pandemiche COVID-19. È stato sempre disponibile un personale molto pensato per risolvere le nostre domande. Le notti erano molto ventose, quindi è meglio prendere dei vestiti più caldi se si pensa di andare a piedi di notte. C'era anche una musica in diretta vicino.
