I paid for the ocean front room but I ended up getting maintenance room roof view. We complaint however, the answer was we must pay extra for a better view. Absurd.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu waa limited but good for us who so not eat a lot. The dinner menu had a wide variety and the food was delicious. The only con: do not eat any of the snacks or have the drinks left in the room. I paid US $25 for a snack size peanut, a bottle of water, and a can of beer, I drank accidentally, mistaking it for one of my drinks.
The pool was amazing. It includes a kiddie pool and a jacuzzi. It was never crowded and the staff accommodating. We were told it closes at 8PM. However, if you're there past 8, they do not bother you.
What I'd do differently next time: I'd hit up the minimarket directly across the street to get my snacks and drinks as soon as I arrive.

There were four groups of people checking in for separate rooms at this hotel. The first all arrived prior to 3 pm and were told the rooms were not ready. Check in time is 3 pm. We all understood and waited patiently however we all had to keep asking when our rooms would be ready. Some of our rooms were not ready for us until 3:20 to 3:40pm. Very inconvenient. The most helpful staff members were the gentleman who greeted us every time we arrived or left the hotel. Our room had a gape in the window that made it continuously stay warm and humid. One of the rooms had a leaky refrigerator. And on the last day we were there they were working on the room above us and it was ridiculously loud. We were not informed that they would be making so much noise above us. Literally sounded like they were using a jackhammer and honestly I wish they would have given us a warning that they would be doing that.

We had an excellent stay at Dann Hotel. The staff was wonderfull. Everybody was helpfull and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was delicious with good variety. Will stay again when visiting Cartagena.

My wife and I stayed at the Dann Cartagena this past May/June and had a great experience. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very clean. The food at the hotel restaurant is ok, lacking some seasoning but just outside of the hotel you can get amazing fried fish at the beach.

My husband & I had a great experience overall at the hotel. The room and hotel itself very nice and clean our room very clean comfortable. The staff very nice and attentive ready to assist in anything you need. The restaurant is good I just would like to see more breakfast options in the buffet not much to select from. Also the hotel is wonderful but the area surrounding average, not dangerous when you walk around but you should be on point. The good things though cops patrol the area frequently. We hung out on the beach every day and enjoyed it as well but I do have to say the only negative about the whole trip was the street vendors constantly coming up to you & at times aggressive when trying to sell some would not take no for answer. Vendors on the beach super annoying.

Amazing hotel in great location,with kind stuff.i stayed 4 nights and i really enjoyed alot the only bad thing for me is i already miss everything of this hotel.if you wanna enjoy cartagena you should stay in this hotel,i strongly recommend to stay in this hotel.cause its safe clean friendly stuff great breakfast....and more.
