Booked several months in advance, used a third party ***********. Received a notification right before our stay that I needed to update my credit card info within 24 hours to hold my reservation (received a new credit card with a new number since the time of booking), updated my card right away, but Helios has a policy that if they run your card and it doesn’t go through, they cancel your booking immediately. In my case, they also rebooked our room right away, were fully booked as a results and were very rude to me on the phone when I called to see what had happened and if I could rebook with them. I feel that *********** is partly at fault, but just a heads up as was such a bad experience dealing directly with Helios and left us scrambling for new accommodations at the 11th hour and paying an arm and a leg for a few nights in Capri elsewhere. Ideally, would have given me 24 hours to update my card and held the room and wouldn’t have been so rude when I called.
