Our time at the Ardshiel included delicious food for dinner and breakfast, as well as a great location to explore Campbeltown. You can walk everywhere you need to go from this location. The rooms were a bit hit or miss, with some having good water pressure and others not. There is no elevator and if you have a top floor room, it is alot of stairs. Many rooms have alot of space as well. This hotel is fussier about things than most. They require a non refundable deposit where most any other places do not, and they required alot of paperwork and information to stay here where no other hotel does. They are known for their food and whisky bar, and many people enjoy staying here. It just has it's quirks.

Stayed for three nights. The room with Seaview was spacious with a large double bed with beautiful bedlinen. The housekeeping could have been better. Leaving thick dust on the shaving-mirror arm and switches lacks attention to detail. The breakfast was good with the cooked items hot and tasty. Hot drinks are from flasks although there is an unused coffee machine in the redundant bar. There is no dinner served in the Hotel at present and the Old Clubhouse Pub next door has a very limited menu of predominantly burgers and chips. We found a decent restaurant in nearby Campbeltown called No.42. The Hotel is part of the Macrahanish Dunes Resort ; a glamorous title for a service which lacks the finesse befitting the price of the room. The staff are friendly but I didn't care to have them taking their cigarette breaks outside the front door.

Che hotel incantevole!! Siamo arrivati tardi ma il proprietario ci ha accolto e ha suggerito posti dove mangiare perché non hanno cenato. La camera era molto pulita con due letti singoli che erano molto comodi!! La camera era en-suite e aveva una bella vista sul campo da golf e sul mare. Abbiamo bevuto un drink nel bar dell'hotel che era molto caldo e accogliente. Il proprietario era gentile e molto ben informato sulla zona? La colazione era scozzese completa ed era deliziosa e abbondante. Consiglierei volentieri questo hotel ad altri. I proprietari sono cordiali, cordiali e disponibili, e la camera molto confortevole.
