The hotel felt dated and the pool area wasn't what I expected based on the listing photos. Breakfast was also a let down, as it wasn't a buffet.
Unfortunately, I encountered some service issues during my stay. One receptionist was quite unfriendly and unhelpful. When I inquired about non-carpeted rooms due to my travel companion's allergies (dust triggers rhinitis), I was incorrectly informed all rooms were carpeted. We later discovered this wasn't true.
The check-in process was quite slow, taking 20-25 minutes. To make matters worse, they rang about a 2,000 peso deposit we weren't previously aware of before booking, though we already informed them we will withdraw after some rest time. We explained we needed to withdraw due to a lack of cash and I don't want to use my card, but were forced to go out in a heavy rain. It would have been helpful to know about the deposit beforehand, especially since it wasn't mentioned on the booking site. If they require the deposit that fast, they should also consider having an atm machine in the hotel.
