Crown Hotel

This was my second visit. After the first, I knew I wanted to come back! The rooms were clean, beautiful, comfortable and cozy. The staff was amazing! They were attentive, communicative, quite accommodating and were able to relay lots of information regarding surrounding areas, for example: places to eat, shop, sightsee. Thank you so much Yosef, Noorhan, Hadir, Ahmed, Sarah and Tony for helping to make our trip to Cairo UNFORGETTABLE!!! I hope to see you all again soon!

I booked this hotel after seeing good reviews and it did not fail to meet my expectations. The hotel is close to all the amenities. Close to many shops, restaurants and transport. The guys Tony, Ahmed and Noor were very nice, courteous and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality was excellent and they made me very comfortable during my four-day stay, they ordered food and called a taxi for me whenever I needed it. The room was very clean and well-maintained. I have decided to stay only in this hotel during my next trip as well. A wonderful unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay close to the city centre and not very expensive.

WARNING: They might try to SCAM you. When my girlfriend arrived at the hotel they told her to cancel her reservation in *********** which was prepaid and non-refundable. When we checked-out they told us they hadn't received any money because we had cancelled the reservation and wanted us to pay again. Very disappointing behaviour. Everything else was good: Central location. People are nice. Drinks are free. Rooms are okay.

this was a very mixed bag. beware possible payment problems. the staff were absolutely delightful and could not do enough for us and, at first glance, all was well. we were a group of 5, two rooms were lovely and spacious one was small. but each room had issues. one room, there was an unpleasant toilet smell. in my room the bathroom flooded when you used the shower and the toilet wobbled when you sat on it. the pillows in all rooms were like large concrete blocks. all of this we would have overlooked with a smile as the welcome was so warm, but the big issue was payment. my fault entirely, I thought the rooms had been paid in advance via *********** (as on all my other bookings) but it transpired payment was due at the hotel. but this didnt come up until the last minute (god knows why they didnt ask for payment when we checked in as is the norm) when it turned out they cant take Egyptian currency only dollars - (fine, if we'd allowed for that) and when my friend tried to pay by card it would only process £200 at a time. so multiple transactions were required. on different cards. with some cash. in the end she was helped by other guests who paid some for her and she transferred money to them. all very very upsetting and sressful as most of the group had left and the remaining guest felt held to ransom. i offered to pay by immediate bank transfer, by amex over the phone, by going back to the hotel later, but that was declined. it spoilt a nice visit and I am still not sure how payment could have been best paid without either large amounts of $ or a large number of different cards.v

This hotel is in a good location close to the city centre with a wide range of shops and restaurants nearby. The best part of the hotel, however, is the staff. I can only remember Salma’s name, unfortunately, but all the staff were friendly and very helpful. Thank you for your hospitality!
