Premier Inn Cardiff Bay

Close to the Cardiff Bay area and a very short bus to the main city and Cardiff Castle. Breakfast was excellent (but no muesli). Rooms spacious but no fridge (I think that the UK don't do fridges) we did enjoy our stay and would fully recommend staying here. Car park is next door at a multi carpark which is subsidised by the hotel @ 25 - 30%.

We were not advised that scaffolding was around the hotel and our window was obscured ! However the premium room was very good size with coffee pod machine, fridge, usual amenities, with the extras for this size room Check in swift and easy, large car park next to hotel, not hotel owned, but discount is available on checkout. Comfortable stay did not eat in as we had plans outside, the drop of marks purely on the fact no pre advice of scaffold and works with no view see picture

Ideally located directly behind the Wales Millennium Centre so chose to stay here after seeing a show. Check in via the machines was easy although the receipt didn't give the code for the upgraded wifi included in our room rate. The Premier Plus room was worth the £5 upgrade fee for the coffee machine, chocolates and rainfall shower, although not sure I'd pay more than this. Comfortable bed and clean, although parts of the paintwork could do with touching up and the artwork on the wall was too close to the bed, resulting in brushing against it when getting in and out of bed. Minus points include the hotel being covered in scaffolding so nothing to see from the window, TV was very slow to respond to the remote and not particularly easy having to get in and out of the bath to use the shower - I usually prefer a standalone shower cubicle. The wifi code would have been nice but not a deal breaker as we spent most of the time in the room asleep - had we managed to see a member of staff, we would have queried it but every time we walked through reception, the place was deserted, including at check-in and check-out time. However, would still stay here again for the convenient location.

Great location. 25 minute walk to the city centre and 5 minute walk from mermaid Quay where there are lots of restaurants. The millennium theatre is across the road. Friendly staff, clean and great breakfast fresh and warm. Only issue is the automatic check-in machines which are temperamental and not enough staff around to help solve issues when there is a queue of people.

Hotel location was good, staff friendly, breakfast was decent. Cleanliness of communal areas and lifts could be better, lifts especially were sticky and stained, room was comfortable and generally ok, but carpet had very bad stains which isn’t very appealing.
