Difficile se non impossibile trovare critiche.. tutto assolutamente perfetto. E’ vero che non si tratta di una location a prezzi bassi ma la qualità è garantita In ogni momento l’ospite è il cliente e si sente sempre coccolato senza eccedere. Vista stupenda e a 5’ dalla partenza per la visita / trekking per i . Camere… spaziosissime e romantiche.. camino ( ci troviamo a 2’100 m/s/m) e tutti i comfort necessari. Cucina, curata e variegata.. nulla da invidiare (se non in meglio) alle cucine europee. Personale.. gentile e sempre pronto ad aiutare. Se vi sarà ancora l’occasione… DA RITORNARCI

Wow che posto! Tutto perfetto. Personale attento, cibo superlativo e location superba. Tre notti magnifiche con viste spettacolari sui vulcani di Uganda, Rwanda e Congo da cui uno si vedeva la lava incandescente di notte. Che dire poi del Gorilla Treck…esperienza unica da vivere. Un lodge che consiglierò a chi vorrà venire in Uganda

Abbiamo soggiornato per 2 notti in questa fantastica struttura nei pressi della Bwindi impenetrable forest in occasione del nostro viaggio di nozze. La nostra suite era splendida, molto molto grande accogliente e dotata di ogni comfort e anche di più. I servizi e la cura offerta sono stati impagabili, così come la gentilezza e la cortesia di tutto il personale, in particolare di Amos e Klestley, davvero sopra le aspettative. La vista sulla vallata dalle nostre finestre e il camino acceso in camera hanno completato una permanenza perfetta. Assolutamente consigliato sotto ogni aspetto, compreso il cibo.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The views overlooking Bwindi are amazing, and the grounds are immaculate. Staff are very helpful and accommodating, always greeting with a smile. The rooms are incredibly cozy (the fireplace in my room was the perfect touch on the cool nights!) The food was also delicious, and an excellent experience.

The views are breathtaking, the meals were delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive! We are so thankful we had the opportunity to stay here! You will not be disappointed!

The Lodge is providing excellent services and amazing views. Is very close from the gorilla trekking gates and the community. Is the best choice if you like comfort and luxury experience with memorable views. The rooms are actually houses, very well equipped and cozy. Thank you Isaak for your great hosting and hospitality

One of the best places I've been in my whole life. Beautiful views, awesome room and the best staff you may ever wish to meet! Many thanks to Isaac, that took constantly took care of us during our stay. The best gift you can make yourself is to come here if you are on trip to seek gorillas. The fire pit in the room at night is something you will surely miss. Thanks to all the fantastic staff!!!

Incredible stay at Nkuringo Lodge! My fiancée and I came and did two days of gorilla trekking in the Nkuringo sector and could not imagine a better place to stay. The views are incredible for breakfast looking over the mountains and all of the meals were very good as well. Little touches like bringing coffee for wake up call was so appreciated. The staff is what really sets this place apart. Special shoutout to Friday who took great care of us and was so friendly and fun. He made our stay so amazing. And Sam who was the best housekeeper and so kind. We so appreciated everything the staff did to make us feel at home. Highly recommend!

Our family just left Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge after a three day visit…what a truly amazing lodge and staff! We had booked our gorilla trekking based on fellow TripAdvisor reviews and are so glad that we did. From the moment that I first contacted the team at Nkuringo, I knew that this would be a special trip. Planning our trip was very easy over WhatsApp and the team was very responsive, detailed and helpful. There were five of us who booked a two night visit, including gorilla trekking on our second day. Everything was arranged in advance, including permits and transfers, and everything went exactly as planned. They also accommodated our last minute change for pick-up in Kampala and storing our extra luggage for us at their guest house near Entebbe airport. We were met at the Kisoro airport by our driver, Willie who gave us great insights on life in Kisoro and the surrounding settlements on our drive to Nkuringo. Willie even knew the best places to stop along the route for us to take photos. We were warmly greeted by the manager of the lodge and introduced to our butler (Edward) and our housekeeper (Cleophas) who took great care of us during our stay. The service and attention to detail is as good as any five star resort that we’ve visited. Edward is a true professional and took excellent care of us. The meals were excellent and the chef can accommodate any dietary needs (we had two vegans in our group). We had a great day of gorilla trekking and were well prepared thanks to the detailed packing list provided by the team and Nkuringo. The rooms are very nicely appointed and each have great views of the forest. We also took advantage of the spa for a massage after our day of trekking and all really appreciated the opportunity to relax with a massage. This was a trip that truly exceeded our expectations in every way! The gorilla trekking was awesome and the experience of a lifetime. (Helpful tips: due to the elevation, mosquitoes were not an issue, even in the jungle. It also gets cool at night, so have a warm layer for evenings. Ask for a packing list to make sure you are well prepared for the trekking. Do research on tipping guidelines for the trekking team and lodge staff. Either Ugandan Shillings or USD are appreciated.)

We just spent three nights at Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge and were completely blown away. The property is near the south entrance of the Bwindi National Park, its lush and has impresive views of the Virungas. We stayed in the Luxury Forest Suite, and waking up to that view each morning was surreal. But what really made our stay so special was the incredible service. Edward, our butler, took care of everything, making sure our hiking gear was ready for treks, bringing us water and meals to go, and even organizing a private dinner on our balcony one night. He mixed drinks, set up a sundowner with an amazing view, and just always seemed to know exactly what we needed before we even said a word. He carried our bags, brought us warm drinks in the morning, had sncks ready when we came after our treks and served every meal with so much kindness. He had the warmest smile and the biggest heart. We can’t say enough good things about him. Amos, from housekeeping, was just as amazing. He kept our room and bathroom spotless, lit the fireplace in the evenings, tucked hot water bottles into our bed, and left us sweet (and funny) handwritten notes each night. Di our wake up calls several times and he even cleaned our muddy hiking boots every day and did our laundry better than any place we’ve stayed in Uganda. We’ve stayed at a lot of beautiful places around the world, but nothing has come close to the thoughtfulness, care, and genuine hospitality we experienced at Nkuringo Lodge. Huge thanks to the entire team, especially Edward and Amos, for making this one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had. We’re already dreaming of coming back.

Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge is a beautiful property with stunning views and a wonderful atmosphere. The lodge itself is tastefully designed, and the food was very good. Special mention goes to Sam from housekeeping, who did an absolutely fantastic job and made our stay extra comfortable. However, we were disappointed by the lodge’s policy of separating guests and guides at meals, which was not common in the other Ugandan lodges we visited. When we still wanted to have our meals with our guide, he was treated less favorably by the butler, with limited meal options and slower service, which made us uncomfortable. We were also treated less friendly then - and on our last morning, this reached its peak when I was even refused an espresso at breakfast, despite having received one without issue on previous days, with the explanation of a power outage—even though lights were on and all other appliances were working without any interruption the whole time while we were having breakfast. We recommend the lodge clarifies this policy in advance, as otherwise our stay was excellent and the gorilla tracking experience unforgettable.

From arrival to departure every member of staff was friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra step. Edward the butler who catered to our every need, Sam (who put my boots to dry in front of the fire) service was excellent and all staff had a smile on their faces. Food was the best out of the lodges during our trip, particularly the vegetarian options. Lodge was spacious, nice touch charcoal fire and hot water bottle to keep out mountain chill. Bed super comfortable, only minor gripe water pressure of shower. Spa - relaxing massage, did not try out cocktail lounge but main bar and dining area well set out. Premium accomadation but worth every penny and would definitely return

We spent 3 nights at Nkuringo lodge and it was absolute perfection! The grounds and cottages are beautiful and well appointed. Having a front porch to watch the volcano and the birds was an added treat. The fireplace and hot water bottles placed in our bed each evening made a lovely space very cozy. The food was absolutely delicious-every course of each generous meal was beautifully presented mouthwatering goodness. But the highlight was the attentive professional staff. Grave organized every thing in advance, with good cheer and flexibility. Gilbert provided safe transport to and from Kigali, sharing interesting information along the way. Sam anticipated our every need, ensuring we had what we needed in our room. Edward provided outstanding service at each meal, remembering our preferences and filling our wine even before the glasses were empty. We’ve stayed at other beautiful lodges on the continent but Nkuringo is the best. As we left, Rogers said, you came as guests and leave as family. It sure felt that way to us. Of course, the gorilla trekking (we opted for the four hour habituation experience) was a once in a lifetime experience! Oh and an important bonus-we were able to meet the owner. Lydia, as we learned while there, not only ensures perfection at the lodge but provides support in myriad ways to her fellow Ugandans in the area. We can’t wait to return!

The accommodations and entire ambiance was fantastic! Our waiter Isaac was superb! Our butler Sam was fantastic. The salon was a wonderful way to relax after the gorilla trek. Highly recommend. The food was glorious. Wonderful having a fireplace in the room.
