Scale Residence City Center

The photos do not reflect this hotel. We pulled up on a busy street, with the hotel looking like it was an abandoned shop. You have to dial a number to get into, which we did. The walk up to the ‘reception’, which was a hotel room, was horrific. It looked derelict and the lift didn’t look safe. The receptionist was helpful, and showed us to our room. The room was very spacious, however had a very musky smell to it. The floor was creaky , and the traffic noise was horrendous! The receptionist come back to give us the WiFi, which was helpful. However, we found it very difficult to lock our door. We have done a 3 day trip to Romania, using this as our first night after flying in, and was ok to get some sleep.

I don't understand how is it possible this hotel is still on platforms like booking. I don't even know where to start.. I was on a business trip and I found this fair priced hotel so I made a reservation. I called first to make sure the staff can provide me a business invoice, and this was the first red flag.. the receptionist was speaking to me at the phone while being in the bathroom and washing hands - there was no such thing as hospitality in his behaviour - he didn't even say hello, no introduction, no name of the facility was mentioned.. at the check in I searched 10 minutes after a reception - it is in one of the rooms on the left and, SURPRISE, the same weird receptionist yelled at me to close the door behind me because it gets his room cold (all this while I was trying to drag my luggage in order to be able to close the door) - this was the second red flag, but I said ok, fair price, there's no need for me to be picky. I left my luggage in the room and left because I had an appointment. The biggest surprise came at night when I got back to the "hotel" - I was freezing, the heating was barely functioning.. so I said ok, I'll lay in bed.. but surprise, the sheets were full of hair and the covers were from synthetic materials and they were very itchy and thin. It was the coldest night I ever spent in a bed. EVER. I was very angry and I went downstairs to smoke a cigarette, when I came back to the floor of the hotel rooms, the friends of the receptionist that he had over were trying to flirt. IT WAS DISCUSTING. I got back in my room, blocked the door and cried because I wasn't feeling safe (at night, in the cold room, in the abandoned building that has this floor where they have the roons). I can say this was THE WORST NIGHT OF MY LIFE. I couldn't sleep all night. The next day, as soon as the sun was starting to rise I left, even though I paid in advance for 2 nights at this hotel.
