Meininger Hotels Bruxelles City Center

I have been in this hotel for a school trip for 5 days. After all the hotel was nice, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the food was not the best but acceptable, the problem is who works there. I’m not speaking about everyone, but the majority of the staff was not kind at all. I had a terrible experience with one of them, especially. Long story short, this guy, after he said that I disrespected him for literally just responding to him, brought me to the hall and told me (after I even apologized to him if my behavior was perceived as rude) that I had two options, I could have served the breakfast at 6 a.m the next morning or I should have to copy on a piece of paper the hotel rules, like a little child, otherwise, he would have kicked me out of the hotel. Of course, I called my teachers who spoke to his major, who said that I didn’t have to worry and that I didn’t have to do that, because my behavior wasn’t, in fact, rude at all!! I think that this is unacceptable because yes I’m 18 but he had no right to do this to me. I didn’t go into details because it would be too long, but believe me when I say this guy was crazy.  Not to mention the bartender who had never been nice to us, I don’t know maybe they hate Italians? Anyway, from my personal experience, I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone, especially to big groups!!

Super great option if you’d like to get robbed right outside the hotel! They do have a guard on sight, but when even he is too afraid to be outside, quits, and no new guard is called in, it doesn’t really help. You should also go if you’d like to live with mold both on the mattress and in the shower. Yet you should’t go if you want fresh air in your room though, cause they charge you 200€ to open the window. - also the cleaning lady broke the sink, didn’t say anything about it, so when we came home it was too late to call someone to fix it, so we had to wash our hands in the shower. Great experience overall!

Don’t go out at night, my friend got their chain snatched. And the guard at the hotel doesn’t seem to bother making people feel safe. The service was terrible and got told that they wouldn’t be able to help with the malfunctioning faucet. And don’t even get me started on the air-conditioner.
