Hotel in zona The Rock Shop, Brisbane

Room was excellent, recently refurbished, USB C (and older USB) outlets to charge devices, rain head shower, quiet aircon, and quiet bar fridge. In-house Japanese restaurant was great, as was the breakfast option (how can bacon be made even better? char grill it!). Staff were friendly, price was low, location was close to public transport and scooter rank (if that's your thing) no complaints at all, will definitely go back when in Brisbane.

Questo hotel è a soli 5 minuti a piedi dal Queen Street Mall e anche molto vicino al Tesoro ******. Sono arrivato alle 2:00 (ora di check-in), ma un grande gruppo di tour cercava anche di controllare l'hotel. Così ho lasciato il mio bagaglio e sono tornato più tardi. La mia stanza era situata al livello 12 e al retro dell'edificio.Poiché l'hotel è al contrario di un sito di costruzione, è stato saggio avere una stanza che si trova al retro di questo edificio. La vista non è eccezionale - solo un piccolo cortile con edifici più alti intorno all'hotel. La stanza era molto spaziosa con una comoda sedia da letto e lampada per vedere la TV (a distanza). Ci sono due connessioni. Uno gratis con velocità Internet più bassa e un'altra rete per $5 con velocità più elevate. Mi è stato dato accesso alla rete di velocità più alta gratuita quando visita la ricezione per un buono. La connessione a Internet è stata eccezionale, ma spesso è scaduta e si deve riconnettere più volte. Tuttavia, notate che ci sono due problemi con la vasca da bagno. Il bagno non è abituato a troppo carta, e è stato spesso bloccato. (fortunatamente ci sono spogliatoio fornito per sbloccare il bagno). In secondo luogo, sembra che ci sia un problema con l'acqua sotto il bacino, che ha lasciato l'acqua nel pavimento del bagno. Scaricare i pavimenti bagnati, usando le tole che ho messo sopra l'acqua. Nonostante questi problemi, consiglierei ancora questo hotel. Esso rappresenta un buon valore per i soldi in una posizione privilegiata.

We stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise that was leaving from the International Cruise Terminal. The main reason we chose this hotel was its close proximity to Roma Street Station as we caught the train from the airport. While it is close to the train station it is located at the top of a reasonable hill and it took a bit of effort to navigate the way to the top, apart from the effort. Several escalators/lifts and then a steep path with no real directions on which way to go. I thought I would be able to see the hotel to give me an idea which way but had to resort to Google Maps to find the way. Unfortunately we were on an early flight into Brisbane so as it was 09:30AM I was not expecting our room to be ready but just needed to store our bags so we good do some exploring. As expected, our room was not ready but the guy behind the counter checked me in, stored our bags and advised that the hotel was busy and our room would not be ready until about 02:00PM. No worries we will be back. We arrived back at 01:00PM and our room was still not ready and waited in the foyer till 02:00PM as previously discussed. Reception gave me our keys and we proceeded to our room on Level 1, or so I thought……..room card would not let me use the lift. Back to reception to have the card re-coded. On entry to our room, it was reasonably spacious and looked clean and reasonably comfortable. Décor a bit dated, but functional. We had a rather large balcony but we could not use it as there was no furniture so the balcony was wasted. Bathroom was small but functional, bit dated but appeared clean. It was only after we used the toilet several times that we noticed water on the floor. We ignored it for quite a while as we thought we had spilt water on the floor but it was not till the next morning that I realised it was coming from under the toilet. I reported it to reception on checkout. As we were tired from our early start we chose to order room service. While we knew how much it was going to cost it was very expensive. Two hamburgers and chips over $70. A bit steep, but as we were so tired we paid so we did not have to go out. The hamburgers were good by the way, but still way too expensive. Overall, this hotel was OK, but the room was supposed to be a superior room. OK. I would hate to be in a Standard Room………..as the room was pretty average for a Superior. After reading some of the other reviews the price we paid was fair and the location is good, just not when you have to push two big suitcases that we were taking on a cruise up the hill from the station. PS. It cost us $73 in the taxi to get to the Cruise Terminal.

Situazione conveniente in città di Brisbane. La ricezione ha offerto un grande servizio, è stato gentile e accogliente. Abbiamo avuto un caldo benvenuto e un rapido, facile e senza fuss controllato in corso. Grazie Vania! (Spero di avere il suo nome giusto) Una vista fantastica dal Lounge Sky, situato sul 36° piano, ma l'appartamento era un po' sporco. Abbiamo messo il segno per riparare la nostra stanza, ma non è stato fatto affatto, anche quando il personale di custodia puliva la stanza accanto a noi quando siamo partiti. L'hotel è andato fuori di mattina e quando siamo tornati di notte, il segno ”preparare la stanza” era ancora sulla nostra porta e la stanza era esattamente come la lasciamo quando usciamo.

Grande posizione, super vicino al ponte dove si può prendere il Cityhopper gratuito a Riverside. Passeggiare a Fortitude Valley attraverso il ponte storioso che è super bello per camminare a piedi. C'è una pizza a Manhattan vicino - perfetta per le tazze, una super deliziosa panna francese Christina Jacques Bakery e molte opzioni di cena. Il parcheggio gratuito è quello che ho bisogno, quindi ho scelto il punto, di solito ritorno intorno 5-6pm e ci sono ancora molti disponibili. Docce calde sono disponibili facilmente con pressione regolabile dell'acqua, ben fatto. Chromecast disponibile, la dimensione della camera è buona per adattarsi a 2 grandi valigie con un sacco di spazio a sinistra. Il colazione è buono, è ala-carte che riduce i rifiuti alimentari, essi permettono anche di prendere il caffè e il cibo quando non ho avuto tempo di cenare per il mio colazione. Buon posto per riposare dopo un giorno di vista. Molto valore per soldi e vere per le foto.

The after hours check-in is terrible. I had to phone to get a code to get into the reception area. Then my reservation coded didn't work and had to call again. Then I realise that I need a physical ID to scan to complete the check in, which I didn't have. Luckily the person I was on the phone with could help move the check in forward, which was another 3-4 steps. When I got to my room there were marks on the walls, the couch is heavily stained, as were some places on the carpet. The cleaning job was average. The only good things about this place are the location and the bed was comfortable.

Stayed here for 7 nights at the beginning of April. Check in was quick and although we requested a quiet room, we were sadly given a room that faced onto a road and the helipad of the children’s hospital. So, the room was rather noisy from the traffic and from helicopter landing and taking off at night. Even with ear plugs on I could still hear the traffic. Room: Room 714 was very clean, it seems the Australian standards of cleanliness is much higher and better than at our previous Marriott stays in Cardiff, Wales and in Edinburgh, Scotland. Housekeeping at this hotel is very thorough at cleaning, as we didn’t feel any dust on the surfaces. My partner is blind and the first thing he does is touch the surfaces to get to know the layout of the room and he was impressed that tables, chairs & walls didn’t feel dusty. The housekeeping ladies always provided us with fresh towels and 2 bottles of water daily, as well as change the bed linen when requested. These ladies (day as well as evening housekeeping) are all lovely and friendly, requests for extra toilet paper, tissues, even slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste were promptly supplied with a smile. The housekeeping team at this hotel should be commended for keeping rooms/bathroom clean to a high standard. Reception: The ladies at reception Jess and other lady (who doesn’t wear a name badge) are efficient when checking people in however, they were not so friendly once you’ve checked in, they both came across as cold, sourpusses. Every day we went past reception and these 2 ladies never smiled or said hello. Once we initiated a hello and got a forced response. The male reception staff at night and on the days when the ladies were off are much better as they always greeted people as they walked past reception. Location: This hotel is perfectly located as it is close to all the restaurants in the Southbank and there’s lots to choose from. It is also about 2 mins walk to Goodwill bridge which connects to the Botanical Gardens. From this hotel everything is within walking distance, we walked to Queen Street shopping mall daily and it took us about 10 mins via Southbank parklands and crossing the bridge. We are not super fast walkers but we found everything in close proximity to this hotel. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we return to Australia next year.

Grande hotel molto comodi letti, puliti e il personale sono caldi e amichevoli. Camminando all'ospedale dei bambini. Ci sono molte opzioni di cibo proprio vicino alla porta dell'hotel. Pub sul corno della Annerley Rd. Fancy una notte in un teatro? Il Teatro della principessa è poi a poche porte. La colazione è disponibile all'hotel per un prezzo aggiuntivo. I loro prezzi sono anche a prezzi accessibili. Parcheggio disponibile.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Herston Place Motel . We found the manager Chris to be completely professional ,friendly and accomodating. Nothing was too much hassle. He was very courteous and had a great and wicked sense of humour. He was well dressed and very likeable. A great character indeed. He treated us like long lost friends. The room was very clean and had everything that you could possibly need. We will most definitely stay there again on our next trip. Big thumbs up. Lyn and John.

Il nostro soggiorno è stato di una notte per un'occasione di famiglia, quindi stavamo solo cercando servizi essenziali e puliti. Ci è piaciuto il fatto che fosse dotato di aria condizionata e avesse un forno a microonde, un tostapane e una caraffa. La posizione è eccellente con facile accesso a negozi, cinema ecc. E l'hotel era disponibile per i pasti se necessario. Mi sarebbe piaciuto un paio di cuscini di riserva, ma c'era un letto singolo che non abbiamo usato, quindi abbiamo usato quel cuscino. Il personale è cordiale e disponibile. Il letto era duro.
