Everything was perfect. I greatly enjoyed my stay here every detail who was wonderful. I had a bath whilst looking at the Sun going down behind the church on the opposite hill as the river quietly flowed to my right couldn’t have been better.! The breakfast was probably one of the best I’ve ever had with fresh fruit local produce for the English breakfast delicious fresh coffee juices yoghurt cereal I ate it all ! Can’t wait to come back. I felt like a king for the night in my king-size bed. Thank you for taking the time to make me feel so welcome to talk to me about the farm the local area and some of the history with lovely amusing stories of some of the characters from The family! As far as I’m concerned, my experience was worth far more than I paid Well done x

I've stayed at Carricks while fishing in Norfolk for many years now but, on this occasion, Jean and John really outdid their hospitality, and made me and my co-fisherman feel completely pampered. I won't describe details (in case you all want some!), but we left having been indulged and spoiled...and right in the middle of the calving season! It's a pity I don't get to Carricks as often as I used to, but I always look forward to my stays here.

Very friendly welcome for our 3 night stay. Most comfortable accommodation like home from home in comfort and items needed whilst there. Could have been cleaner behind the beds on the floor. Rather dusty . Definitely would stay again if we are in the area.

Fantastic hospitality and breakfasts are amazing, with a great choice. Nice peaceful location with a number of rooms. All staff a very welcoming and would highly recommend. Very friendly family pets welcome all guests to this working farm and guest house.

This is the second time that I have stayed at Castle Farm (Carricks) with friends and I wasn’t disappointed. Jean and the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome - a personal touch which is so often overlooked at b&b’s. The food was homemade, comforting and of a really high quality. We ate in the grand dining room with a roaring log fire to keep us warm and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Great table service and any needs were met with enthusiasm and absolutely no issues. The morning breakfast was delicious with plenty of options from a full English to poached eggs to cereal, they catered for all needs. In the daylight, the beautiful grounds could be observed and river could be seen bubbling past - bliss! My room was of a very grand size with tea and coffee facilities, a log burner and even cosy armchairs. I wouldn’t hesitate to return! Thanks to all at Castle Farm for the visit!

Such a lovely cosy few days, just away from everything but just a short walk to Darbys pub for very fine ales. Always sleep so peacefully in the cosy rooms setting me up for wonderful riverside walks. Breakfast are a wonderful feast in the grand dining room with a lovely log fire .

Great self cater accomodation, we booked both Buttery and Huntsman. Very well appointed, clean, comfortable and peaceful. Good welcome from our hosts, Jean & John, nothing was too much trouble, every effort made to ensure our stay was perfect. Beautiful farm setting with a river running through the grounds

Everything was excellent! A very clean, beautiful place, serving an amazing breakfast with homemade orange marmalade. Jean, our host was kind, thoughtful and very polite! I would definitely recommend it for a long weekend to relax away from city crowds.

We instantly felt at home and welcome here. We stayed as bed and breakfast guests in Carrick ‘s room , nicely decorated with a large bathroom and most importantly a very comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious in the dining room with a lit open fire and views across the garden to the river. Comfy sitting room to relax in in the evening. We felt very well looked after. The farmhouse itself was such an interesting building and it was lovely to wander down by the river with the resident red setter. We will definitely return .
