Nneo4My first time travellong solo and this hostel hasn't disappointed. Couldn't have asked for a better location than opposite the Riga Central station. I booked the place without being fully aware of the access to transport. The hostel also have a very stringent policies on shoes off in the social space and the bedroom (which as an East Asian I don't really object). Perhaps most surprising was the bathroom cleanliness, which a hostel in Edinburgh really disappointed me on. Finally the receptionist are truly eager to help with any burning questions.

UUtente ospiteThe property is under renovation, the whole floor and my room is with all the furnitures or renovation smell. It’s not a pleasant feel when you walking on the corridor to the room as some areas are renovating and some room doors are open and the furnitures all putting outside the corridor. Other than the location is good I really have bad experience with the smell especially while sleeping I got sinus with all these bad smell. I request to change room and they said is full. I request to fix the safebox battery and end up they didnt do it, I was on business trips and stay for 2 nights it’s a very bad experience for me. If you are renovating the floor pls do not rent iit our or at least clear the smell before renting to others.

UUtente ospiteLa posizione centrale dell'hotel, alla fine nord-est della vecchia città di Riga, rende molto facile esplorare la città. Siamo stati vicini alle principali attrazioni della città e siamo a 5 minuti a piedi dalla Cat House, Monumento della Libertà, Riga/Dome Cathedral e St. Peter's Cathedral.
Abbiamo prenotato la stanza senza finestra.Era molto ben decorata e il letto era molto comodo. La stanza era tranquilla, ma un po' stufata e non abbiamo sentito l'AC abbastanza forte. Ci sembrava che la stanza fosse ancora buona, ma per il prezzo, e ci fosse un sacco di confezioni, c’era una macchina da caffè Nespresso, una stazione di tè, tazze di tè carine e un grande bagno con una doccia molto bella. Apprezziamo che sia stato fornito un adattatore per pareti e che sia stato inserito in quello che lavorava con gli integratori del stile nordamericano.
L'hotel è situato in un edificio del XVII secolo e ha un bel atrio specchiato. C'è una storia divertente in cui un cavallo ha buttato una scarpa, ha colpito l'edificio e l'ha presa, quindi il proprietario l'ha tenuta perché si è sentito fortunato. L'hotel dispone di un bar nel lobby e di un piccolo negozio.
L'alba di questo hotel è stato il colazione con una vista magnifica sulla città dalla finestra e un buon colazione, con un piccolo buffet con formaggio, pesce fumato, pane fresco e altre scelte. Abbiamo goduto di una varietà di bevande come la limonata di rhubarb e il cioccolato caldo. Puoi ordinare un prodotto caldo che include.

UUtente ospiteThe hotel has value for money in the old town area of Riga. Check in was smooth and we were able to get into our room quickly to drop off our bags and get to Arena Riga for an ice hockey game with limited time to get there. The location is very central to the sites of Riga's old town and there are some very good restaurants nearby. There are quite a few convenience stores and souvenir shops nearby but they close fairly early. The hotel has a very interesting feeling to it with exposed brick walls and original/restored wood beams and stairs. We appreciated that it also had an elevator to get to the top floor we stayed on.
We booked the twin room and had a pleasant stay and the room was quiet enough to get a good night's rest despite the bars nearby. The beds were comfy but the pillows were a little thin. The room had a fully stocked mini bar with decent prices which would help if we got desperate for drinks. There was a large wardrobe and a small work desk in the room too. There were also plugs conveniently placed around the room so we could get all our devices charged. The bathroom was quite large and we appreciated the hot shower and towel warmer. They provide handsoap and a body/hair gel for the shower. The rooms have air conditioning and the windows open to help with the stuffiness. The twin rooms have a slanted ceiling so my short wife had the bed on the slanted side and had no issues.
The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the variety of food brought out both mornings. They had hot items which changed a bit each day and included an egg omelette, bacon, potatoes, a Latvian pancake and sausages. There was a good spread of cold items too and we are sure a vegetarian would be satisfied with the offerings of vegetables, cheeses, devilled eggs and fruit. The coffee machine made a very good hot chocolate and they also provided juice and water with breakfast. There is a bar behind the check in counter that is open to hotel guests and a nice seating area in the lobby too if you're looking for something more later.
There is a sauna at the hotel but we weren't sure if it was open during our stay or what time it did open because there were no hours posted and we didn't get a chance to ask the staff. There is very limited free parking near the hotel and it seemed like the same local parked in front of the hotel each day. We would recommend taking the bus from the airport if you have the time but if you're in a hurry Bolt is pretty affordable in Riga to get around. There are car rentals north of the hotel and Bolt works in old town to book electric scooters and cars which was pretty convenient during our visit in Riga.

UUtente ospiteL'hotel è situato in una posizione molto comoda, vicino al centro commerciale e alla stazione centrale, a pochi minuti a piedi dalla stazione degli autobus, dal mercato centrale e dalla città vecchia. Il check-in è stato perfetto e utile con la mappa della città fornita. Bollitore, tazze, bustine di tè e caffè sono forniti, nel bagno sono stati forniti shampoo, sapone per le mani, carta velina, cuffia per la doccia. Sarebbe bello se fornissero lozione per il corpo e balsamo per capelli. Purtroppo, le prese di corrente sulla scrivania non sono adatte a un adattatore da viaggio e non ci sono porte USB. Il letto singolo era proprio accanto alla tenda e uno specchio era proprio di fronte al letto, il design della camera era molto strano. C'è una cassetta di sicurezza nella stanza. Ricordatevi di portare le vostre pantofole perché non vengono fornite le pantofole da camera.

UUtente ospiteAn honest review from an British point of view. Location is great, noisy on a weekend if you go to bed before midnight. Beds in the room are very low to the ground with pillows that are awful very lumpy. thin duvets which are ideal in the summer. Breakfast is great. You have to book the Spa if you want to use it at an additional fee 18 euro I believe, I tried three times to say it was full? They admit last customer at 7pm but the Spa is open until 9pm. Over all I would compare the hotel to a Travel Lodge in UK certainly not 4 star high standard. Staff need to learn on how to smile it goes a long way for poor service.
