Hotel con colazione a Las Palmas

Santa Catalina Hotel is undeniably a historic architectural landmark, but as a hotel experience it fell well below expectations. On arrival, the service felt cold and somewhat pretentious rather than welcoming, with concierge staff coming across as detached and pompous rather than genuinely hospitable. A key reason for choosing the hotel was the prominently advertised rooftop pool and views, only to discover after check-in that access is restricted to suite guests. The spa is similarly limited unless you pay €15 per person for 90 minutes, which feels disproportionate given the modest facilities. These restrictions are not clearly communicated at booking and leave a sense of being misled. Several of the lounge and communal areas were also frequently reserved for corporate events and seminars, which further diminished the sense of a relaxed hotel environment. As a guest, it often felt as though you were secondary to business groups and functions moving through the space, even in more personal hotel moments such as walking through common areas in a robe. In-room entertainment is very dated, with a non–smart TV offering only basic local and satellite channels. Room service carries a €5 delivery surcharge, while on-site dining is largely limited to high-end fine dining with little casual alternative. It is also worth noting that Las Palmas sits under a noticeably less favourable microclimate than the south and west of Gran Canaria. During our stay, conditions were consistently cloudy, windy, and cool, which further limited the enjoyment of the hotel’s already restricted amenities. For those seeking reliable sun and beach weather, the southern or western parts of the island are a better choice. Overall, despite its striking heritage setting, the combination of underwhelming service, restricted access to advertised facilities, dated in-room amenities, corporate use of guest spaces, and disappointing weather made for a stay that did not feel justified by the price and is not somewhere we would return to. The atmosphere and clientele also skew noticeably toward an older demographic.

L'hotel è bellissimo in tutto il mondo, ma non c'era alcuna AC funzionante. C'è un display dove si possono premere i pulsanti, ma né i controlli del ventilatore né i controlli del CA fanno nulla. Dopo ore di lasciarlo in un tempo basso, era ancora 24.5 gradi. Questo è il migliore punto di vista del tetto e la decorazione confortevole perché significa che non puoi dormire.Sono rimasto solo una notte, ma a meno che non possano garantire che l'AC non sia solo per lo spettacolo, non ritornerò.

The room is quite small and there isn't much space for suitcase or two people to sit and eat a meal but the bathroom is very very nice and the bed is quite comfortable. Staff is there 24/7 to help you and the location is perfect to the shopping centre and local restaurants! Really recommend!

Ho avuto un'ottima esperienza all'hotel. Era molto pulito e il personale utile e amichevole. Grande scelta al colazione. Ottima posizione vicino al mare, negozi, ristoranti e autobus. Io intendo tornare.

This is a perfect hotel spotless like new build staff very polite helpful in every way comfortable bed big TV water in mini fridge breakfast available if wanted extra cost would deffo recommended as some of the building around the area are ready to drop 2 min to beach 5 mins to shops good location

К номеру нужно быть готовым, на самом деле по сути нет окна. Вернее оно очень маленькое и есть, но выходит в узкий колодец и не открывается. И оно находится по сути в ванной комнате. В номере влажно и душно. Я так и не поняла, как нужно было бронировать номер с окнами, в описании было указано, что в номере одно или несколько окон и были фото с окнами. Питание на завтрак понравилось. До круизного порта далеко, нужно брать такси. Для меня выбор отеля оказался не удачным, люблю номера с окнами и балконами, а не спичечные коробочки.

Ottimo servizio e camera! Bello bar al tetto con grandi viste lungo la spiaggia delle canteras e Tenerife in fondo! Buona scelta per colazione e personale amichevole e utile in ogni momento!

Ottimo luogo, da un lato il porto e dall'altro lato la spiaggia. Vicino alla piazza Santa Catalina con molti ristoranti e caffè. Negativo è la posizione della ricezione. Primo piano e uso delle scale. Ascensore non è così accessibile

Habitación muy limpia y cómoda con todo lo necesario y con opción de música directamente desde el móvil a los altavoces de la habitación, luces personalizables en Led, nos ha parecido muy completo para la zona y el precio genial

Buona ubicazione centrale, arredamento moderno e recente, reception rapida e cortese, solo la prima colazione non è all' altezza... Pochi minuti dopo le 7:30 non c'era quasi più nulla e nessuno si preoccupava di rifornire di cibi, succo di arancia industriale imbevibile ... Caffè al limite... Peccato!
