Hotel sul mare a Las Palmas

Santa Catalina Hotel is undeniably a historic architectural landmark, but as a hotel experience it fell well below expectations. On arrival, the service felt cold and somewhat pretentious rather than welcoming, with concierge staff coming across as detached and pompous rather than genuinely hospitable. A key reason for choosing the hotel was the prominently advertised rooftop pool and views, only to discover after check-in that access is restricted to suite guests. The spa is similarly limited unless you pay €15 per person for 90 minutes, which feels disproportionate given the modest facilities. These restrictions are not clearly communicated at booking and leave a sense of being misled. Several of the lounge and communal areas were also frequently reserved for corporate events and seminars, which further diminished the sense of a relaxed hotel environment. As a guest, it often felt as though you were secondary to business groups and functions moving through the space, even in more personal hotel moments such as walking through common areas in a robe. In-room entertainment is very dated, with a non–smart TV offering only basic local and satellite channels. Room service carries a €5 delivery surcharge, while on-site dining is largely limited to high-end fine dining with little casual alternative. It is also worth noting that Las Palmas sits under a noticeably less favourable microclimate than the south and west of Gran Canaria. During our stay, conditions were consistently cloudy, windy, and cool, which further limited the enjoyment of the hotel’s already restricted amenities. For those seeking reliable sun and beach weather, the southern or western parts of the island are a better choice. Overall, despite its striking heritage setting, the combination of underwhelming service, restricted access to advertised facilities, dated in-room amenities, corporate use of guest spaces, and disappointing weather made for a stay that did not feel justified by the price and is not somewhere we would return to. The atmosphere and clientele also skew noticeably toward an older demographic.

Camera molto pulita e ordinata. Zona dell’hotel molto strategica e comoda. Lo consiglierei assolutamente. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile

Ottimo servizio e camera! Bello bar al tetto con grandi viste lungo la spiaggia delle canteras e Tenerife in fondo! Buona scelta per colazione e personale amichevole e utile in ogni momento!

La verdad que todo super bien,nos quedamos encantados con todo el personal sobre todo con Natalia, un amor desde el minuto 1 explicándome detalladamente todo con una sonrisa,la piscina super cool para fotitos sobre todo,como dije amenazó con volver pronto!

Hotel economico e piacevole. Pisci sono un po' strane. Le foglie sottili (buono per il clima caldo). Letti non più comodi ma non peggiori. Nessun AC solo un fan che è un po' stanco. E la vista dalla finestra congelata è un po' depressa. La TV è solo la TV spagnola. Il personale è molto amichevole e la maggior parte parla buon inglese. Buona per un breve soggiorno, ma non consiglierei per più di poche notti. Non ho provato il colazione (prezzo ragionevolmente) e il bar è aperto solo per questo. Ci sono altri bar vicino aperti fino a poche ore. Area abbastanza sicura ma non la più piacevole. A 1 min a piedi sia alla spiaggia e a molti ristoranti. Nessun acqua prodotta nelle camere o frigoriferi.

L'hotel è ben situato e il suo personale è amabile. Tuttavia, la colazione è servita in un altro NH che si trova a 200 metri. Non mi è mai stato avvertito di questa circostanza prima della prenotazione. Le strutture sono molto vecchie, un fatto che si nota soprattutto nel bagno. La camera non aveva luce naturale e aveva due letti singoli davvero piccoli.

Ottimo luogo, da un lato il porto e dall'altro lato la spiaggia. Vicino alla piazza Santa Catalina con molti ristoranti e caffè. Negativo è la posizione della ricezione. Primo piano e uso delle scale. Ascensore non è così accessibile

Very good place with neat and clean rooms with all amenities. Over all a very good place to stay. The staff all of then where very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here. Right on the beach with spectacular views if u book the sea view room.

L'hotel è fantastico 😍, a 1 minuto a piedi dalla spiaggia ⛱️, il personale pulisce ogni giorno. Tutto a poca distanza a piedi. Sicuramente prenotera' di nuovo.

Il rapporto di prezzo complessivo è relativamente alto, la colazione è molto buona, e il pranzo è relativamente poco buono. La colazione è 5 euro, la cena è 15 euro, e si consiglia di comprare una stanza insieme più conveniente quando si prenota.
