Arrivammo tardi a Bowral, e abbiamo assicurato l'ultima stanza disponibile. Ben e il personale erano grandi, e la stanza era moderna, pulita e confortevole. Il bagno era grande e luminoso con doppia doccia, c'era una macchina Nespresso e un pozzo, NetFlix e Stan, e il letto era perfetto. Situato nel centro della città, potevamo camminare per tutto e lasciare la macchina parcheggiata. Siamo stati sorpresi dalla bellezza della città e siamo stati intrighiti che essa abbia mantenuto la sua vibrazione originale. Il pranzo all'hotel è stato davvero buono e a buon prezzo, e se stai cercando il caffè, prova ”Precoce Birds” sulla strada principale all'altra estremità della città - è brillante!

Questo posto è situato a 10 minuti dalla principale autostrada Hume (M31). Così conveniente da Sydney. Io immagino che sia lo stesso che arriva da Melbourne & Sydney. Un sentiero sigillato tar vi porta alla proprietà che ha un sacco di spazio di parcheggio. È un luogo così tranquillo situato al piede della foresta. Siamo stati così sorpresi dalla dimensione di questa proprietà. E' tranquillo e ti permette di assorbire la pace e la tranquillità. Abbiamo ritornato così rinfrescati. Non dimenticare di andare in foresta. Potresti noleggiare una bicicletta elettronica ma è disponibile per 21 anni e oltre. Assicurano che tutte le precauzioni di sicurezza siano prese. Non può essere noleggiato nei giorni pioviggine. Ma approfittare di un ombrello fornito sul sito. Camminare nella foresta è rinfrescante. Siamo stati così impressionati dalle camere spaziose e lussuose. Il letto super re è molto confortevole per una notte tranquilla. La stanza è moderna e calda con il suo posto di fuoco sui piani superiori. Abbiamo prenotato la Suite Sunset (siamo felici di aver fatto) perché le viste sono sorprendenti. Verde intorno e si ottiene il proprio letto di giorno. Ottimo servizio anche. Molto consigliato.

What an amazing hotel. The building is beautiful and you feel like your back in time. The staff was also very friendly and the room was perfect. Would definitely stay here again. The area is perfect to see all the waterfalls and the beautiful nature.

The gent welcoming me was kind enough to carry my case up the stairs. I had renovated room 9 overlooking the beer garden, so there would be noise during nights when the bar was open and the patronage higher. The room had an excellent Queen bed with good linen plus an old bedside table, lamp, wardrobe and vasic chair. WiFi was good and unlike in some Italian and French hotels that I had just stayed in, it was easy to find a bathroom power point to charge my phone. The renovated bathroom had good non slip floor tiles and a practical shower. Water flow in the shower was OK but it lacked the luxury, away from home rainshower experience. The hotel bar opens longer on weekends. Some nights have a bistro. There is a well maintained pool and tennis court for guests. Not all rooms have ensuites though mine did. It is a 101 year old historic property opposite the railway station where trains to and from Canberra stop plus a limited number of Campbelltown to Goulburn services. I used a Sydney to Canberra train to arrive.

I have been coming here for many years, but no longer. Our room was poorly cleaned (a thick rim of dust around the carpet perimeter) and dreadfully tired. We were woken at night by an outside caller looking for accommodation: the phone system had gone haywire. When we mentioned the problem next morning, we were told 'many other guests had complained'. No apology, instead an implication we should take comfort from not being the only one put out. Dormie House used to be a guesthouse; it now operates as a golf clubhouse and function centre, and the staying guests are distinctly second-class citizens. Common areas, where it once had been possible to relax undisturbed in front of a warm fire, are now likely to be take over for some corporate event or other. The house guests are expected to retreat somewhere else. They won't have the choice of a game of snooker or table tennis - those amenities have been removed. There's really only the bar and the overpriced drinks. When Covid struck, Moss Vale Golf Club closed the clubhouse and moved activities to Dormie House. This, however, is now a permanent arrangement. Looking for someone to stay in Moss Vale? I suggest looking elsewhere.
