We stayed at the Gibraltar on a Saturday night to Sunday night. The room was the least expensive room but was spacious and luxurious. I didn't find it an issue to be overlooking the car park - it was quiet and our room had a thick hedge screening the room balcony from the car park and we had no issues with noise from there. We did have issues with noise from a group who congregated in the room next door and who kept us awake when we were trying to sleep, but this was dealt with very promptly by staff. The bed was very comfortable too. Check in was very simple, with staff friendly and helpful. We had booked into the restaurant for dinner on Saturday night and found it to be a very pleasant dining experience. It was quite pricey, but the food was delicious and was well worth it. We went to the bar next door after dinner - we had been hoping to get the jazz musician, who is apparently a regular there on Friday and Saturday nights, but he had called in sick or something, so perhaps next time ... We were surprised that the bar didn't offer hot drinks, but hubby enjoyed a beer. We didn't stay very long, because it was quite cold. Although the bar has an open fireplace, it's angled to face the dance floor area. The bulk of the seating is along one wall when you come in, so you miss out on any kind of warmth from the fire. This is an area of the hotel that could probably do with a re-vamp to make it more comfortable for patrons. The weak spot for this place is breakfast. It's buffet style on the weekends and a la carte on week days. However, what's on offer is the same and the selections are quite limited and not what you'd expect from a luxury hotel. Essentially it's all fried food - bacon, sausages, hash browns and baked beans. Plus a limited selection of pastries and I think I saw weat bix as well, plus some melon type fruit in glasses. There's no real catering for people who don't want a whole lot of fried food and no barista coffee or even hot chocolate. All of what's on offer you can get when you stay in a country pub. I was honestly surprised - I would have expected a lot better and to have more variety, especially considering the prices charged to stay here. I assume the hotel doesn't pay for a chef for breakfast, only for dinner. Next time we come, we won't pay to have breakfast here. Despite the meh breakfast experience it was a lovely stay and we would most definitely come back and stay again.

Non sono sicuro come questo hotel può essere considerato lussuoso? Il suo interno è indossato e richiede aggiornamento. Ci siamo trasferiti nella sala suite Forrest 120. Niente come le foto. La materassi si è infilata nel sonno, le mie gambe erano più alte del corpo quando ci siamo messi, che’è quanto male la materassi era. Il letto che mi è stato detto aveva un giusto materassi si è infilato nel sonno. PowerPoints non ha funzionato. Il nostro ferro di tovagliolo elettrico, il cordone era riempito con la cintura di manichino. Il divano e le sedie del braccio erano così vecchie e indossate, con chipping frames di legno’ tavole di sci e dipinto era chipping. L'illuminazione era così dim No air conditioning e era un fine settimana di 30 gradi . Capisco che le camere del sito non avrebbero la stessa vista, ma la vista del bush e dei ghiacci non è una vista del giardino. I have been coming here for many years, but no longer. Our room was poorly cleaned (a thick rim of dust around the carpet perimeter) and dreadfully tired. We were woken at night by an outside caller looking for accommodation: the phone system had gone haywire. When we mentioned the problem next morning, we were told 'many other guests had complained'. No apology, instead an implication we should take comfort from not being the only one put out. Dormie House used to be a guesthouse; it now operates as a golf clubhouse and function centre, and the staying guests are distinctly second-class citizens. Common areas, where it once had been possible to relax undisturbed in front of a warm fire, are now likely to be take over for some corporate event or other. The house guests are expected to retreat somewhere else. They won't have the choice of a game of snooker or table tennis - those amenities have been removed. There's really only the bar and the overpriced drinks. When Covid struck, Moss Vale Golf Club closed the clubhouse and moved activities to Dormie House. This, however, is now a permanent arrangement. Looking for someone to stay in Moss Vale? I suggest looking elsewhere.

La nuova direzione si trova proprio nel modo più alto di cui aveva già lavorato la direzione precedente, dove sembra che ci siano tutti i puliziatori di lavoro duro, con la stanza pulita senza spot. Arrivammo tardi a Bowral, e abbiamo assicurato l'ultima stanza disponibile. Ben e il personale erano grandi, e la stanza era moderna, pulita e confortevole. Il bagno era grande e luminoso con doppia doccia, c'era una macchina Nespresso e un pozzo, NetFlix e Stan, e il letto era perfetto. Situato nel centro della città, potevamo camminare per tutto e lasciare la macchina parcheggiata. Siamo stati sorpresi dalla bellezza della città e siamo stati intrighiti che essa abbia mantenuto la sua vibrazione originale. Il pranzo all'hotel è stato davvero buono e a buon prezzo, e se stai cercando il caffè, prova ”Precoce Birds” sulla strada principale all'altra estremità della città - è brillante!

eppers Manor house (formerly Mt Broughton) is located in Sutton Forest in the pitcturesque Southern Highlands. This region is home to beautiful landscapes and features such parks, historic sites, golf courses, walking tracks and plenty of boutique shops to wander around. There’s plenty of wineries too and numerous spots for events such as weddings. Located 90 minutes from Sydney, it’s great for a short little getaway. We did just this, and found that staying in Peppers Manor House was relaxing and very much country living. The accommodation is on a rural property and historically was once home to Charles Throsby, a pioneer sent by Governor Macquarie to Australia. Subsequently owned by a number of families following this, the site is reflective of the families that once owned it, with beautiful sitting rooms ang games rooms and it is a huge heritage mansion, with extra blocks converted into accommodation. They’ve kept the site in wonderful condition, becoming part of the Peppers group in 1993 and the hotel now has refurbished rooms, yet original character to the main spaces and the groundskeeper has certainly kept the grounds and golf course lush. On site is Katers Restaurant, named after a family that also once owned the property, There, you can get a fine dining style dinner. On our visit we had the pan fried barramundi, served with thyme and garlic roasted carrots, lemon wilted spinach and salsa verde. Nicely cooked and a very generous portion. In addition the Kilroy grass fed sirloin was also cooked to request and a wonderful dish, served with sautéed garlic kipfler potatoes, butter green beans and red wine jus. The dinner was excellent. The restaurant also hosts breakfast, and on our visit was a buffet, complete with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, toast, tea, coffee and hot food. You can also get drinks from the cute little Nook bar and enjoy them in the sitting room or games rooms or even by the fireplace. Book your room of preference, the Highland Queen Rooms, Highland King Rooms and the Elizabeth Broughton Suite (in the original master bedroom) or in the adjacent building; Garden Wing Deluxe, Garden Wing Suites. We were in a garden wing and rooms were a decent size, with a couch, desk, fridge and small tv (they do need new larger televisions for guests to take advantage of relaxing in the rooms. The bathroom has a bath and Apelles bathroom products to use. In these rooms the outlook country views of the garden. On site there’s a golf course, tennis courts and a swimming pool. In the main hall theres a fireplace and piano as well as connecting games rooms with a pool table. We made use of this and had an enjoyable and fun time. We booked our trip as a ‘crazy golf’ deal which was really cost efficient, since it included the room, 2 games of golf, a drink each and breakfast for $280. La cabina di alta terra era fresca, nuova e molto comoda. Ha un arrediamento in bicicletta in camera da letto, più un tetto nella camera da letto e nella camera da letto principale. La cabina era molto spaziosa. La squadra del parco di Mittagong Caravan è stata molto amichevole e utile e non abbiamo avuto problemi come il rumore. Mi piaceva che la cabina fosse ben rifornita di utensili da cucina, e ci fossero piccoli tocchi come alcune menti sul tavolo, una grande testa di doccia e piante di foglia fuori, ci fossero tavoli di buona dimensione e sedie all’aperto sul veranda. Il prezzo è stato ragionevole per la dimensione e il comfort offerti dalla cabina e l'atmosfera amichevole. Rimarremo di nuovo la prossima volta che siamo nella zona.
