Hotel a Bougival, Francia

La settimana scorsa sono rimasto all'hotel e sono stato impressionato con la camera e le strutture - le camere sono state anche grandi. Il personale era caldo e accogliente e l'accento era il cibo - questo hotel ha un fantastico cuoco e abbiamo goduto deliziosi pasti durante il nostro soggiorno. La prova del cibo è una necessità! Ci sono anche un sacco di parcheggio e caricatori EV

L'hotel è a circa 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria di Versailles Rive Gauche. Abbiamo arrivato prima del check-in alle 3:00, ma siamo riusciti a lasciare il nostro bagaglio mentre andavamo a pranzo molto bello. Siamo stati nella camera 41 al secondo piano - la camera era ben decorata e di dimensioni ragionevoli, con un letto grande e confortevole, te' e caffè gratuito. Nel lobby ci sono stati anche pascoli che potevamo aiutarci, che erano un toccante, non c’era con d’aria nella stanza, ma c’erano due grandi fan e potevamo aprire la finestra che aiutava un po’ mentre era caldo durante la nostra visita. La prossima strada (Rue de Satory) era una buona scelta di ristoranti e un paio di bar. Ci siamo fermati una notte di domenica, che ha significato che alcuni posti erano chiusi, ma non avevamo problemi a prendere un pasto e un po' di bevande.

Situato a meno di 500 metri dall'entrata del Palazzo di Versailles, e con una bella selezione di ristoranti intorno all'angolo, questo hotel non può essere meglio situato. L'hotel è situato in una tranquilla strada, ma la stanza che ho soggiornato era piuttosto piccola, ma più che sufficiente per le mie esigenze. Il bagno era ben organizzato, ma l’apertura per entrare e uscire dal doccia era un po’ sul lato stretto, il letto era molto confortevole e ideale per riposare dopo un giorno di esplorazione dei giardini di Versailles. L'unica cosa che mancava nella stanza era un sistema di aria condizionata, ma questo era stato compensato da un ventilatore forte, che aveva come previsto e ben conservato con una buona selezione di succhi di frutta. La ciliegia sopra la torta, tuttavia, è il personale. La gente alla reception era molto amichevole e utile e faceva sentire i loro ospiti a casa. Mi hanno anche prestato un cavo per caricare il mio telefono dopo aver perso il mio. Raccomando questo bellissimo piccolo hotel, e rimarrò lì la prossima volta che visiterò Versailles.

L'hôtel et la chambre très propre rien à dire. Le personnel est très aimable et très serviable. Le petit déjeuner est bon mais j'ai connu mieux. L'installation est parfaite, juste à côté du château de Versailles et à proximité d'un restaurant excellent à moindre coût. Je recommande.

For a budget hotel, this exceeded my expectations. It's in a nice and quiet area, which meant we slept very well. It's 20 minute walk to the metro line 1, which goes to the centre of Paris in under 30 minutes. Our room was fairly spacious, and the bed pretty comfortable. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. We didn't have the breakfast, and there was no coffee and tea in the room, but there were vending machines in the foyer and supermarkets nearby. Overall, good value for money, and one of the better hotels I've stayed in for the price.

This was our third stay at this hotel over a period of several years and I posted a very positive review in 2014. Oh, how things have changed here! I begin with the most serious of the offenses and indignities we suffered during our 5-night stay. I was entrapped in the hotel's elevator for a period of 10-15 minutes before the staff registered any response to the emergency alarm bell or my pounding on the elevator door. When a maintenance employee finally arrived, he said that the alarm bell notified the off-premises elevator service company rather than the hotel itself. I knew this was not accurate as I could clearly hear the alarm when I repeatedly pressed it. When I was finally liberated from the elevator and spoke with the on-duty manager, he apologized and said he had been in the ”back office” and had not heard the alarm. The general manager of the hotel also stated that she regretted the ”inconvenience.” I think this event qualified substantially above the level of ”inconvenience” and the manager's proffer of a fractional portion of the substantial Marriott points I had used for my stay was wholly inadequate for the life-threatening emergency that could well have been the case. In addition to this incident, we experienced an appalling indifference and lack of basic service from the staff of the hotel, including (1) absence of a bellman to assist with our bags upon arrival at the hotel by taxi ,(2) failure to deliver an additional luggage rack to the room following request of the bellman, (3) failure of housekeeping staff to make up the room for a period of two hours and after three requests when we inadvertently left the French-language ”do not disturb” sign on our door, (4) failure to respond to three or more requests for towels that had not been left by the housekeeper, and (5) recommendation by the newest and least-experienced junior concierge of an Asian restaurant that displayed a ”closed” sign when we arrived and where no employees spoke English or could provide an English-language menu. (In fact, with regard to the restaurant, the chief concierge told us the next day that she had ”never heard of it.”) We chose this hotel because we had previously had positive experiences, notwithstanding the fact that the rooms are extremely small (even with our upgrade from a ”cubby hole” to a ”shoebox-sized” room). The hotel's common area is beautifully decorated and the rooms are well-appointed despite their size. The problem with this hotel boils down to indifferent management and that is really a shame. It could be so much more!

Lovely little hotel that has clearly had a make over for the rooms. modern yet simple with comfortable bed and fine bathroom (no amenities - shower cap etc) and no fridge. Staff very nice and more than helpful. Great location to metro - 5mins walk. Shops/restaurants/take aways 3 mins walk. bars down the road and 15 mins walk to livelier spots in Montmartre. 40mins in taxi to Orly airport will be back if they keep the price right!

We visited just for the weekend and what an amazing time it was. The staff on reception were professional and welcoming, speaking a number of different languages, including English, as did all the staff we encountered during our stay. I was so thankful for this as I saw one of the reviews which stated an expectation to speak French, this was simply not the case for us. We had a fabulous spacious 4th floor room on the park side with a small balcony. The bed was by far the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in so far and the slippers provided, a much better quality that those in other hotels and we have been to a fair few. The bathroom was great, but just a word of caution if having a soak in the tub as it’s very prone to slipping due to the shape. A rubber mat for inside the bath is provided for you to use. Breakfast was a buffet only (no menu) and was very limited, although you can order a number of different egg dishes. There was just one chef and a bit of a queue. I don’t think this was unusual as there was a polite notice asking guests to come back once they have placed their order, which I did and maybe I shouldn’t have as it seemed that my order was then put on the back burner. I know this as I saw countless others guest getting their orders in and receiving their dishes before me. It’s only when I approached the station that the chef then went to get my order. The eggs Benedict received was ok but very close to being hard boiled and I prefer a runny yolk. The breakfast experience overall was ok, with staff being very polite when you asked them something, but this could have been better by them checking in to see if we had everything we needed, e.g. more coffee. I always think when it comes to hotels and indeed in life that ‘you don’t know what you don’t know’ and so far this year we’ve had exceptional service at breakfast from the Westin Palace Madrid and a truly amazing buffet with options to order extra dishes at the Ritz Carlton in Vienna, both of which renewed my faith in the hotel breakfast experience, so I know more can be done here at this hotel. We didn’t swim in the pool but it was a good size. The gym was amazing if you like like to keep your exercise up whilst away and the staff were very friendly. A tip for guests wanting to visit Versailles Palace & gardens, get you tickets from the concierge if you haven’t booked in advance. Indeed we hadn’t booked in advance and there were no tickets on the website when looked, so we were so relieved when we asked the concierge about this. One of the highlights of our stay has to be the view from our balcony at night of the Bastille fireworks, this was simply outstanding and totally unexpected, an experience which we aim to replicate next year and will return. Siamo rimasti qui solo una notte per visitare il Palazzo di Versailles. Questo hotel non ci mancava in termini di posizione, servizio, strutture, attrezzature, ecc. Se devo dire una cosa, la tariffa di parcheggio per la notte è stata un po' costosa. Non c'è dubbio che questo hotel sarebbe la migliore scelta nella zona e naturalmente vorrei rimanere qui quando visitamo di nuovo Versailles.

Dal momento che siamo arrivati all'hotel, tutti i membri del personale erano molto amichevoli e utili. Le camere sono confortevoli, comode e pulite senza spazi. Il bagno è un po 'piccolo ma funzionale con bel bagno (sapata, gel doccia/shampoo ecc). Il letto era fermo ma confortevole, e ci sono piatti e un cappello.La nostra camera (104) aveva aria condizionata e era al fronte dell'hotel, ma non avevamo mai problemi di rumore. Il ricevimento è stato bello, un semplice stile continentale, ma abbondante e fresco.L'hotel si trova in una tranquilla zona di Parigi (Puteaux), a soli 15 minuti a piedi dalle stazioni La Defense o Esplanade con facile accesso al resto della città. Vicino ci sono alcuni ristoranti e negozi, anche se abbiamo trovato alcuni chiusi il fine settimana/aperti solo lunedì mentre andavamo via. (pensiamo che sia come il suo vicino al quartiere aziendale) Andammo da Puteaux a Surenses per andare alle corse di Longchamps che era facile
