Such a perfect little getaway near the Christmas markets of Strasbourg. We stayed here in December and were delighted with our pink wallpaper room that felt so classic. The staff was lovely and it was such a cute space. :)

Ci siamo sposati nel lontano 2012 ed é stato un matrimonio principesco. Purtroppo circa 20 persone non si presenterano al matrimonio ed io ho dovuto pagare lo stesso. Va bene, é giusto cosí, ma quando domandai di portare in tavola le portste pagate per le persone assenti mi dissero che non si poteva fare il bis. Ma io avevo pagato! Il cliente ha sempre ragione, tranne che allo Chateau de l'Île.

Il castello è molto carino. Se però chiedo se la colazione è inclusa e mi dicono di sì e poi al check out mi fanno pagare 72 euro in più non va bene

It was our first visit just some days ago in the Chateau de L'ile and we will surely stay here again if we visit the area again. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The whole place seemed to be quite out of time and space in a positive way. Very quiet inmidst a park and close to the river yet close to the tramway (7 min walk) to go into the city of Strasbourg. The breakfast was very good for France, witth variety of sausages, eggs, cheese and salmon as well as youghurt, jam, sweet things, cereal. Breakfast until 10:30 a.m. was also very much appreciated;-) The rooms were tidy and clean and there was even a refrigerator. Bathroom with shower and bathtub and all amenities. Check out until 12:00 a.m. is also very nice for vacationers like us. We did not eat in the Restaurant this time but heard from other guests that it is very good. The only thing which we didn't like is that we could not open the window in the night due to many moskitos. Which was a pity as the air outside was so fresh and cooling. However they told us at check-out they will have a solution for that very soon.

Disappointed a lot: 1. There were no any information that SPA and swimming pool are closed. This we knew only after we paid for our stay. 2. There was sauna that we blocked just for us for 1 hour and we were assured that we will be alone. Finally we ended up with other people. 3. Far from being 5 star. Bar was empty with towels inside. No water in the room.

The room was wonderful (we stayed in the chateau part of the hotel), service was excellent. The breakfast is very copious with lots of fresh options and we couldn’t have had a better stay. The restaurant is also outstanding for lunch and dinner!

If you are two people in the breakfast room, you cannot sit at a table for 4 people. If the riverside table is vacant, you cannot go there because it is forbidden to use 2 separate tables. The staff is very rude. I will not come again, I do not recommend

The Chateau is a beautiful hotel and property, and the staff are excellent! A couple of constructive (negative) comments are as follows: there are no screens on the windows, so the bugs flew inside our room. We noticed this is a traditional in France, but this is a Hotel. As for the TV, there was only one (1) English-speaking station (BBC), which had poor reception. For a 5-star Hotel, there should have been more TV available. Lastly, the maid or cleaning staff did not clean the tube during our stay, which was numerous nights.

Great hotel outside downtown next to a a park. Beautiful surroundings. Good service from their staff. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel which was reasonably priced and tasty.
