R10 Hostal - Hostel

Was recommended to come stay here, I was really impressed! The food was amazing, comfy beds and a roof top bar with music - it was good vibes. Can’t mark as a 5 as only stayed the one night. But from what I experienced I was impressed. Definitely recommend for young people travelling, you get some free access to clubs with your accommodation price!

I booked a private room for my final night In Colombia after a month of travelling, it was terrible (and I have been staying in hostels for a decade!) Had my booking been for any longer than a night I would have left and gone somewhere else. -my room was at the back of the hostel by the bar. the music was so loud I may as well have slept in the bar, no exaggeration. yes, I did have ear plugs and yes I’m used to usual hostel noise but this was a whole other level! the music was super loud and the door to my room had holes in so the sound just came through. -the music went on til 12.15 and then people chatting for a further hour or so - this is despite the hostel having signs saying that quiet time is from 11. -at around 1.30 an alarm went off for ages (so much so I got up and went downstairs thinking it was a fire alarm) and then it continued to bleep every 40 seconds (I counted) for the rest of the night -I asked to move room and for the music to be turned down but neither happened -there was also building work going on at the back of the hostel so from 8am (on a saturday) there was construction noises too. my stay could have been perfectly adequate had they not given me that room as accommodation, it was unfit for purpose. then there were other annoyances which would have otherwise been tolerable in isolation but just made my stay worse -multiple toilets out of toilet paper, on more than one occasion - I had to ask more than once for paper -hot water didn’t work in the bathrooms at the back of the building -it was a cold room (though I was able to ask for a blanket) -staff members weren’t helpful with regards to questions like finding the nearest supermarket -had to wait 30 mins for check in -rock hard mattress with barely there pillow i’m sure most people there have a good time but I really didn’t enjoy it and there’s enough hostels in Bogota for me to never stay at R10 again. On hearing of my bad experiences they did offer free breakfast in the morning but I had to leave for a walking tour/wasn’t worth it The only pros were: Wifi was good Location is great for downtown

Gran ubicación, a pocas cuadras del chorro de quevedo, de la plaza de Bolivar y los demás sitios , además del estilo, pues es un hermoso edificio restaurado y adaptado. Los espacios son cómodos y tranquilos durante el día. Muchos turistas extranjeros. El hostel tiene una tienda galería con muchos productos y también una terraza bar con vista al centro que cierra a la media noche.

Hostel tres central et pas cher pour le quartier, installé dans une vaste demeure bourgeoise au cachet rétro. Dortoirs et chambres logent sous de hauts plafonds à moulures et bénéficient d,un niveau d’équipement correct pour le prix. Grands espaces communs, salon télé, terrasse sur le toit et petite cuisine. Accueil efficace, riche en infos pour organiser son voyage
