Daish's Blackpool Hotel

We went for 5 days & the hotel is tired, needs a little TLC (the small, creaky lift is scary) & updating in the bedrooms but the room was large, clean, comfy, adequate supplies of toiletries & tea, coffee etc. The staff are fabulous, nothing is too much trouble for them, they are friendly, helpful & really made our stay a joy!! They provided us with the extras we asked for like 2 chairs, a walk in shower, twin beds (actually had 2 double beds so plenty of room!!) etc. Food was good, 3 course evening meal, nice full English breakfast!! Linda the manager is a lovely lady, she worked long hours in reception too, she is approachable, professional & really lovely. Coach drivers well trained, good journey & changed radio station to Greatest Hits 60s as we requested, everyone was singing along to the music!! Would recommend this hotel & Daish's to everyone!! I've also been to the IOW Shanklin hotel 2 years ago & had a great time!! Thinking about turkey & tinsel for maybe next year!!!

Hotel is very old fashioned which is evident as soon as you enter the doors. There are Zimmer frames and mobility aids next to the reception desk. The room was small and unclean. The paintwork was shoddy, curtain hanging off the rail, hair on the bedside table, dirt on the bedding and the spare pillows were dusty. Carpet stained, ceiling was dirty tiling, window was grubby. There was someone’s empty bottle of water left on the bedside table. The kettle was dirty inside and out. There was black bits in the water inside and having worked in hotels before as a room attendant the kettle should not have been left with water in it anyway!! The mugs had stains in them too! On telling the reception about the kettle and mugs I was met with a frosty attitude which made it felt very uncomfortable for explaining the issue of basically wanting a clean kettle and mugs but i was made to feel I was asking for too much! The bathroom shelf had stains on and the shower lots of black grout on the tiles. Bits on the floor. This room clearly hadn’t been cleaned to any type of standard and for £99 I expected it to be clean! The window view was of gas pipes, terrace houses and a carpark. It was a depressing room and glad it was only for one night!! The breakfast was bog standard and was not worth the extra £8!! Never again and do not recommend this hotel

Very good hotel. What you would expect with Daish. Staff friendly and helpful. Good choice of well cooked and presented food and drink Had a maintenance issue which was sorted immediately. Great position on the seafront this is a very good value for money hotel. Manager looks after his staff which is always nice to see

good clean hotel with good food but not at all suitable for frail or disabled visitors. too many steps and you can't get to use the toilets as there is no disabled available. should have read details before i went. good sea view by the north pier

Im zippy Cooke I rate this hotel 100% for clean and tidy hotel lovely welcoming lovely staff that are at hand when needed there is a coffee shop in the hotel very cheap prices when I visit this hotel I wos given my key to my room and my room wos so clean and mentaned as it should be I had kettle coffee and tea along with milk and sweetecks sugar flat screen TV cant fault this hotel I went for my dinner at 6 30 pm all my meals wos hot when came to my table allways nice and tasty food the entertainment wos very good cheap drinks all the bar staff and waiters and manger work very hard the night porter is a really nice man always up for a little chat I would be going back to the blackpool hotel very soon

A long journey from Cornwall, but well worth it.Check in very easy and straightforward ,room itself clean and well equipped with all you need. Meals in resteraunt very good and a great choice each day. We were there for T andT and the hotel was decorated very nicely throughout . Entertainment very good .The second nights was best with comedy and singing.If anybody goes during the illuminations going on the evening excursion through the lights is a must ,and only £7.50 per person . Bus and tram stops close by . Train station not that far and we had a day in Liverpool. Fleetwood market absolutely fantastic , All you need is an empty suitcase and plenty of money LoL ......When at the market a visit to the Affinity shopping centre is worth a look .Overall a fantastic holiday in a great hotel with very helpful and caring staff .We will be returning again in the New Year so that in turn is a good recomendation of our stay. Thank you to all the staff once again .
