We booked a table from the fork at 20:30. Having said that, the first thing we found out is that nothing is coming out of the kitchen after 21:00 so we had to settled for a two course meal. We had the steak-tatar, the wintersalat, and the two fish dishes availabel, trout and Cod. We thought that if the cook has such a strict times, the food at least will be nice. Well that was not the case. The tatar was nicest item, with its main problem the crunchy onions. The greens that came with the tatar were identical to the greens of the winter salat, so was the foam of the two fish. Lazy cooking that is. The Cod was from frozen and had a freezer dried flesh smell. The skin was not crunchy, but rubbery and the defreezing took the best out of the moisture of the fish. The trout below average. Overall this was a canteen food dressed up for a quality restaurant. Didn't worth the money.

Nice, new and family friendly hotel with top location. Due to restaurant and beer garden on site, very convenient for families with kids. Would have rated significantly higher, if rooms had been clean. Despite room service coming every day, rooms didn’t appear clean.

Don’t stay anywhere else! Such a fantastic place to spend Christmas or anytime. The views are better than the photos and the hotel so very clean and well set out. We are from a hotel background and highly rate this hotel. The food was amazing and we did not have a bad meal. Special mention to the restaurant manager from the winemaking family, we very much enjoyed his company and advice. Would absolutely stay again!!

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. I emailed before booking because I wanted a cabin, and they were very prompt in answering all my questions. Check-in was quick, and the cabin was clean and nice. I traveled with 2 kids, so it was the perfect size for a family of 4. I wish we could have stayed longer. Onsite free parking was a plus. Breakfast was really good with a great selection. Overall, we had a great time, and I highly recommend this place for a quiet and relaxing break.

The hotel is very dirty. There is dust, dirt, and bugs everywhere. My room had ants and bugs in it so I requested a new room. I got a new room without bugs that was still dusty and dirty. I'm still shocked at how dirty such a pricey hotel is. I gave this feedback directly to the staff and was still charged full price for such an uncomfortable experience.

This is a beautiful hotel, the room is nicely designed, the grounds are very nice, the views are amazing. However, it does not have a mini fridge nor does it have AC. In the summer after long hikes or biking with kids it would be nice to have cold water or drinks in my room. We had to sleep with the balcony door open because it was very hot in the room, and the loft area for the kids was even hotter from being close to the roof. The breakfast was delicious, the dinner was also great. My kids enjoyed the ice cold pool, but I couldn't get in, I prefer a heated pool. I would definitely stay here again, but maybe not in the summertime.

I can’t say enough good about this place. It’s new, modern, and has attention to detail. The lotions and soaps are made on property and are really, really nice. We wanted to buy some. They aren’t for sale yet to the general public…but soon they will be! The breakfast is super good…breads, omelette station (the girl there makes the BEST ones…and is super friendly), tea station, coffee, eggs, yogurt, meats, cheeses, and the list goes on and on. Rooms are comfortable and with an awesome shower. The only negative is sometimes it gets warm in the room with no AC. We opened the door and it seemed fine though. Great views and awesome setting. Love it and want to come back!

We stayed here in the Herzblattl Suite for a weekend. This unique suite is on two levels with sauna (upstairs), bath tub (downstairs), in addition to the bathroom and shower area, and the balcony with mountain view. There is a small table with two chairs and a very comfortable king-sized bed. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the restaurant is great. We had booked half-board but changed to à la carte and were not disappointed. The prices are fair with a fine selection of wines to go with the meal. It is convenient to have a car as the hotel is outside the town of Berchtesgaden. This was a very relaxing short stay which we would be glad to repeat at any time in the future.

We stayed in one of the little huts on the hill enjoying gorgeous views and in general enjoyed our 3 nights there. However, the weather was very warm and it became hot and really uncomfortable in the rooms, no fans were provided. Also there were 4 of us and only 2 chairs outside on the terrace and no loungers at all, unfortunately also no shading available there (ie umbrella). WiFi only hit and miss. We also felt that at breakfast they were really struggling - only one pan / one person to cook eggs which took forever, we found a raw egg amongst the already "boiled" ones, and sausages and bacon were not replenished quickly enough for the amount of guests - so we went without. Personnel very friendly. Overall - nice hotel with potential, but we feel that for the price they charge they have work to do!
