We stayed in mid September, choosing this hotel from reading reviews, its quiet location and outside pool. Reception staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful with suggestions and answers to our holiday questions. The hotel building is a stunning art deco design with a spectacular huge central atrium containing many sofas and tables, a bar area that leads into the restaurant area. We sat outside for breakfast ( weather permitting !) and the breakfast quality and varied selection of hot and cold food was superb. The golf room was lovely with views of the near-by golf course with countryside views in the distance. The room was a good size with an excellent bathroom, 2 basins, separate toilet,( + large flat walk-in shower). Lots of storage for clothes, a safe and fridge. Many room options in this hotel- the front facing sea- view rooms are brilliant for example. A large outside pool sunbathing area is an advantage for this hotel. The luxurious sun beds are the most comfortable we’ve used. The hotel location as reviews mention is at the top end of a very long hill from the centre. It takes about 10-15 minutes. 2 walking options; one is to walk along the main road path all the way or secondly to walk down the path for about 5 minutes then take one of the steep wide steps on the right of the main path down to the beach/ promenade and continue walking on a wide flat beach promenade all the way to the centre. ( one note - there is an area near the Hotel du Palais when the promenade goes under the hotel and where the waves come up to this path and the sea does make this part wet when the tide is high and sea is rough). The walk back uphill is a slow hard walk along the main road path or again use the flat promenade then take the steep steps up to the main road path again where you walk for the last 5 minutes to the hotel. The locals mostly cycle using electric bikes - you know why after walking around! There is an excellent free bus (N11) that stops outside the hotel and goes directly into the centre ( the return bus stop is outside too). It’s perfect except that it doesn’t run very late in evening. Getting the local taxis in Biarritz is near impossible - not many and they don’t always turn-up. Also they’ve resisted other competition from Uber etc ( even less of these & again not reliable) so that is a major negative for us in this town. We used the excellent buses and train services ( e.g. direct bus to Bayonne & train to Saint Jean de Luz) . The uphill location could be difficult for some people but the quiet location and the hotel facilities and proximity to the lovely walk to the lighthouse area close by are advantages to smaller central hotels. A luxury hotel with excellent staff. Highly recommended.

Comfortable bedroom maybe softer pillows if possible. Some rooms have balconies and I recommend this sort of room. Bathroom well equipped with supplies and a suitable shower. A free safe in bedroom and the use of a kettle for hot drinks. Hotel is situated in a beautiful avenue with a bus stop and beautiful church next door. Very close to the beach and center of Biarritz. We will be back.

Installazioni rinnovate. Attenzione al pubblico fino alle 19:00. Ben situato vicino al centro e alla spiaggia. Tuttavia abbiamo avuto un incidente importante con l'ascensore. Indica un massimo di 8 persone e 630 kg. Abbiamo salito 8 persone con meno di 630 kg. L'ascensore non ha un sensore di sovrappeso. L'ascensore è stato fermato tra due piani. Non ha nemmeno il meccanismo, di solito in Spagna, che consente, in caso di danno, di scendere al piano inferiore, aprire le porte e uscire dagli occupanti. Chiamiamo il telefono di assistenza: nessuno risponde. È un'immagine! . Abbiamo chiamato l'allarme: Un impiegato di manutenzione (meno male che erano le 17 ore, perché altrimenti nessuno sarebbe venuto) ci ha detto che ha chiamato il tecnico e che non era autorizzato a fare nulla! . Abbiamo aspettato mezz'ora. Non c'era neanche una copertura telefonica all'interno. Abbiamo aspettato un'ora 8 persone come ”sardine in lata” l'arrivo del desiderio tecnico. In fronte alla ritardo e incertezza, abbiamo deciso di uscire per i nostri mezzi dopo aver convinto il dipendente che ci avrebbe forzato una scala per uscire forzando Non c'è scusa, soddisfazione o commento da parte dei responsabili del centro, che era il minimo auspicabile dopo l'incidente . Mi chiedo se sarebbe successo se questo fosse successo dopo le 19:00 quando il centro rimane Non è stata la prima volta che questo è successo, quindi dovreste rivedere i protocolli di questo servizio, aggiornare i meccanismi di installazione e cambiare il servizio di assistenza OTIS. Il resto del soggiorno, giusto.

I stayed at the hotel for my anniversary fith my couple and over all it was a great experience. The location is great just one minute distance from the beach, in the city center. It has got a nice terrace in the restaurant and parking if you need. The room was really spacious and confortable, but it needs a refurbishment and clean soon. The best? The staff. Special greetings ​to Miriam and Iarick(night shift) from the reception. They were SUPER friendly and made us feel really confortable, making a difference in our stay. Merci! Gracias!

This is a truly wonderful hotel. The team, led me M Charles Siraut, is just brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble, everything is done with a smile, the hotel is stunning, perfectly located, unbelievably peaceful, excellent value and the perfect escape from the real world. As someone who has travelled to more than 100 countries and stayed in every level of hotel (including bomb damaged shells in Liberia!), this is truly one of the best I've ever stated. Can't recommend this lovely place enough.

Grande trovato. Vicino alla spiaggia e vicino parcheggio. Piccolo camera con bagno ancora più piccolo (geni quasi toccato il muro quando sul lago). Confortabile letto e un occhio al mare dalla nostra camera che era un bonus. Bella macchina toccare nespresso. Fantastico scelta per colazione, frutta, croissant, pasticceria, salmone.Sicuramente rimarrà di nuovo
