Spent 2 nights here for a short break, as we love Biarritz. It was our first visit to this hotel. It is centrally situated, making it an ideal base for exploring the town. We received a warm welcome at check-in and were delighted with our 3rd floor room. We booked a prestige room with a sea view, which was a good decision and well worth the money. The room was spacious and comfortable. Very good bed and bedding. The coffee machine was appreciated, as was the fridge stocked with complimentary soft drinks. These were topped up daily. The bathroom and separate toilet were spacious and well furnished with toiletries. Bath robes and slippers were provided. I especially loved the anti-fog mirror. The shower was powerful, with plenty of hot water. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, but did use the bar for a drink and a planche of charcuterie and cheeses, which were delicious. All staff were friendly and eager to help. I was surprised that although the hotel is classed as a monument, there is no information on its history in the rooms. To me, that is a selling point which should be well publicised. We had to check the internet for information on the background of the hotel, which is fascinating. It would be well worth printing off a page and leaving it in the rooms. Overall an excellent stay and we will definitely be returning.

Il personale era grande - molto amichevole e utile. L'alloggio era come descritto. Il letto era comodo, la doccia era buona. Tutto funzionava bene. La stanza era tranquilla, anche con finestra aperta per strada. Nessuna lamentela. Raccomandere questo posto e prenotare di nuovo se ritorno a Biarritz.

I rate the Sofitel a 3 but it’s really only a 2 if I was to only judge the hotel. The location and the pool were the absolute highlight’s and for this we give a 5! Biarritz has a stunning coastline but please spend your money elsewhere! This hotel pretends to be a 5 star hotel with wellness spa. Thank goodness I had not planned my trip around the spa itself. I think if this was in Australia, it would be shut down. When you take the lift to the spa , you arrive into a waste land! Depending on which way you arrive, it is a rabbit warren of empty corridors, closed doors with French signage! I couldn’t even find the toilet. After paying $700 AUD for 3 treatments, you would expect a warm welcome, and someone assisting you to your next treatment. No not here, you are on your own (naked in a robe) trying to ask for directions to the next room however nobody speaks English. My treatment was booked with a Physiotherapist however I think she was barely qualified for a massage! Highlights from my family were the soft robes and spacious rooms, big beds with cozy mattresses toppers and soft linen. Great valet and reception but that’s it for service. Pool is saltwater and perfectly cool! We could not find the indoor pool

Le strutture sono molto utili e amichevole, nonché le strutture come il trattamento spa e il massaggio. Sono anche disponibili deliziosi cibo basco per le scelte. La posizione è assolutamente vicino alla spiaggia che richiede circa poche min da camminare. Raccomando vivamente alle persone che stanno pianificando a Biarritz

Albergo elegante ad un passo dal centro di Biarritz. Scegliere le camere sull’oceano che benchè siano costose hanno un panorama fantastico. Camere curate, pulite, personale gentile. È decisamente costoso ed è per eventi importanti. Nelle camere, tra l’altro spaziose e ben arredate, non manca niente.

Buona posizione se vuoi andare alla spiaggia o al teatro ****** per un spettacolo come abbiamo fatto. Il personale è bello. E il colazione è sorprendente : molta scelta e prodotti locali, salati o dolci come vuoi.
