Hotel a Besancon, Francia

A première vue, on sent que l'hôtel n'est pas de toute fraicheur et les équipements un peu vieillot (lavabo bois abimé voir photo), le sol fait un peu ”hôpital” et le couloir des escalier n'est vraiment pas accueillant. Mais la literie est propre et confortable. Les 2 personnes de l'accueil que j'ai vu étaient vraiment sympathique et l'hôtel a l'avantage d'etre à moins de 5 min à pied de l'hôpital. Le petit déjeuner était bien et la salle lumineuse.

Nonostante la posizione molto centrale relativamente tranquilla (buona finestra), tutto molto pulito, camere semplice ma sufficiente e con una piccola cucina, prezzo equo per il garage - si può notare! Tuttavia, è necessario riflettere sul fatto che gli ospiti (anche) devono vuotare il lavabo del bagno, soprattutto perché non è notato da nessuna parte.

Situé en face de la gare, cet hôtel propose des prestations assez correctes. Les réceptionnistes sont agréables, réactifs et arrangeants. L'isolation phonique est convenable et j'ai été agréablement surpris par la taille de la chambre. Des problèmes de finition esthétiques apparaissent quand on y regarde de plus près (plafond avec accrocs conséquents, trous de raccord -télé, sanitaires- mal étanchéifiés). Le plus gênant est la qualité aléatoire de la propreté et de l'hygiène : lit non fait le premier jour, toilettes non nettoyés une autre fois, ménage superficiel, avec oublis parfois. Le petit-déjeuner est correct mais le pain n'est pas frais et il est conseillé de se restaurer très tôt pour bénéficier de choix (plus de fromage à la demande d'un autre client le 1er jour). [Remarque à l'attention de Tripadvisor : il y a un monde entre ”moyen” et ”très bien” : pourquoi ne pas intégrer ”bien” ?.... Et pourquoi ne pas être plus fin et détaillé dans les propositions ? C'est très vague....]

Ho soggiornato una notte durante il mio viaggio dalla Normandia all'Italia, è in posizione comodissima a due minuti dall'uscita dell'autostrada, si trova in una zona commerciale quindi negozi, supermercato e fast food raggiungibili a piedi in pochi minuti. La camera era molto pulita e accogliente, perfettamente funzionanti tv, wi-fi, aria condizionata, c'era anche un bollitore con bustine di thè e caffè e biscotti, ma c'è assolutamente bisogno di una ristrutturazione, innanzitutto togliere la moquette, comprare un bollitore nuovo, ridipingere le pareti e ricordarsi di mettere la carta igienica in bagno!!! Per 57 euro (compresa la tariffa per il mio cane) la carta igienica la pretendo!!! Sicuramente non presenta gli standard di altri hotel Campanile, avrei dovuto dedurlo dal prezzo più basso della media...

Glad we chose Mercure for our 4-night stay. For a 4 stars, the rooms are small. However the furniture, the beds are very good quality. Staff was polite and professional and friendly. Location is excellent! We enjoyed crossing through the park and a bridge to reach town within 5 minutes walk. The parking was a huge plus. Breakfast is offers great choice and has quality products. Staff very professional and courteous. Bathroom amenities are basic but good quality shower and shampoo. Nothing else. Do carry your own. Will definitely recommend this hotel and will return again.

Buona posizione nel centro di Besancon. Agevole distanza da passeggiata a vari ristoranti e attrazioni - la citadelle, porto nero (e altri articoli romani), casa natale de Victor Hugo, l'orologio astronomico (non vale la pena visita perché non ha e non sarà lavorato per molto tempo) , Place Castor, cammina lungo il fiume, ecc. Pequeno colazione continentale. Parcheggio limitato dietro l'hotel (si accerti di prenotare in avanti). Accesso stretto al parcheggio (assicurati di avere un auto piccolo) e difficile trovare l'ingresso intorno all'angolo dall'ingresso dell'hotel. Bella vista sui tetti della città.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July. It was well signposted once near the town centre, which made it easy to find. There are a couple of issues to bear in mind about parking. First, the entrance is very narrow. My phone measure app measured the gap as 2.2m . I very carefully and slowly got my Tesla Model Y through. It felt like I was edging a supertanker through the Suez Canal. I used to have a model S and no way I would have attempted to get that through. One in the car park, there is a limited number of spaces. Three of them have Tesla chargers. If you book ahead, they will cone one off for you. By 10pm the car park was full and all bets are off at that point, Tesla space or not. I expect you would have to park outside in a public car park somewhere. The checkin was very simple. I had completed the online prebooking, which presumably helped. The reception and other, eg cleaning, staff were always polite and cheerful. The room was fairly basic, but the decor was well looked after and it was clean. We found the bed comfortable and with good pillows, including some extras in sealed bags. There was a small wardrobe and the ensuite included a toilet, sink and shower, all of which were pretty high quality items. The aircon worked wonderfully, which was essential, as it was around 40 degrees outside. It was also good to have two room keys as so many hotels think it is OK to give a couple just one room key. The flat screen TV was a decent size with a clear signal and a decent range of mainly french TV channels, with BBC world news and CNN as English language channels. The room has a telephone, but I didn’t use it. Free wifi was really good at about 70Mb download speed. The location is excellent on the edge of the old town centre. A short walk to the Musee Beaux Arts and not much further to the birthplace of Victor Hugo and many other key attractions and restaurants. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I came to Besançon. However, once my replacement model S arrives maybe later this year, this hotel won’t be an option because, although it has destination chargers, they are accessed through a narrow tunnel.
