Amazing for a get away very affordable and you get what you pay for, dogs love it here and I always enjoy the time so does my partner, great takeaway on site that is also adorable, plenty for children and adults to do. Short walk to the beach and lots of attractions around

As a seasoned traveller, this year marks my third vacation. However, this is the first time I’ve ever stayed in an assisted caravan. I've experienced all types of accommodation, from basic caravans to luxurious lodges with hot tubs. I am writing this review because I am utterly shocked and disappointed by the state of this caravan, especially considering that disabled individuals already face numerous challenges due to their disabilities. This particular caravan does feature some necessary facilities: a designated disabled parking space, a ramp for easy access, and two bedrooms equipped with single beds. Additionally, it includes a shower room with a seat, and all internal doors are wheelchair accessible. The kitchen appliances are designed to be accessible, with a low cooker and a floor fridge that includes a freezer box. The living area consists of an L-shaped sofa and a single sofa at the dining table, accompanied by two soft stools. However, the problems quickly become evident beyond these amenities. The shower room lacks a privacy curtain, making showering an uncomfortable experience. The sink’s single tap dispenses water at an excessively fast speed, there is no toilet roll holder, and there is no shelf for personal items. The cooker knobs are broken, making it impossible to determine whether the appliance is on or off. The gas fire in the lounge was incredibly stiff to turn on, and unless you bring matches, you might find yourself unable to use it. Some radiators are poorly calibrated, rendering the temperature settings unreliable (for example, setting 5 is hot, but setting 0 is also hot). The fridge is missing shelves and having one shelf limited storage space for perishables. The literature provided to us upon arrival as valued guests encourages writing reviews on TripAdvisor. It states that if there are any reasons we wouldn’t give them 5 out of 5, we should let them know during our stay so they can ensure we leave happy. So I am writing this review on TripAdvisor because, despite not needing assisted accommodation myself, I recognize the importance of providing suitable conditions for those who do. Unfortunately, it feels like the assisted caravan at John Fowler’s is merely a tick-box exercise to advertise accessibility. I find this unacceptable, as disabled people deserve better than poorly maintained accommodation. Those individuals face enough difficulties without the added stress of subpar accommodation. In conclusion, it does not require much effort to ensure that assisted accommodation is up to par. The current state of this caravan should be checked and rectified by staff, not left for customers to discover and endure. A little more care and attention could go a long way in providing a supportive and stress-free environment for all guests.

The park is actually OK and the staff are friendly. The issue is the standard of accommodation. I booked a Platinum +caravan and was shocked at how much it differs from the brochure. On arrival I went straight to reception asking if there had been a mistake as it wasn't anything like I thought I was getting and lacked all the extras ie free fitting furniture,dishwasher, TV in the bedroom etc. It turns out that when you book and pay for what you think is the best if you read the small print the only guarantee is that it will be one of their newer models.

Had the best time, 90s weekend.... chalets need updating and mold proofing, bed comfy but narrow ( ended up pushing to singles together, marks on the dinning room table paint and marks, broken leg chair just little things, but u get what u pay for, this didn't bother me. Entertainment was amazing Saturday and Sunday. Staff very friendly made us feel welcome. Rosie and kerion I think they names where amazing, full of life and energy, professional ( as they could be with a load of us that grow up in the 90s ) looking forward to next year sorry guys u have us for a week

OK. So john fowler saved us from the park mentioned above on my page. Wish I booked direct and got here sooner. We went into a silver chalet. It was clean and 3 bedrooms. Was luxurious. So much more to do on park. Play areas. Swimming, arcade. Bingo. Shop was big and it was lovely. John fowler is amazing. And I would say on par with haven to be honest. We had lovely weather and we wished we stayed another week. But I have uni and people have other commitments. Not too many kids and was quiet. This is what I like about holidays. We already decided we will be coming back for 90s and next year. I just wished we booked here first. I was just relaxing. See you soon. Jo

We stayed at sandy meadows in a lodge with hot tub, lodge is really nice & modern, clean, outdoor seating area with hot tub. On the Friday night it was nice to get into after a long journey here, went to get in Sunday the tub was HALF FULL! Rang reception on numerous of times no answer great so we now had to wait until Monday morning but couldn’t use the tub! Monday morning comes maintenance come round to check other tubs we then told them our tub was half full all we got was oh probs a leak somewhere 🙄 well that’s not good enough as there supposed to be checked after check out’s aren’t they? He then filled it back to water level great to then come to use it Tuesday same thing happened again not very good for a £600 holiday!!! Cafe on site overpriced warmed up rustlers burger 🤣 bar reasonably priced & clean - entertainment average for low season. Overall really nice lodge just annoyed about the hot tub, & to say they come round “Everyday” to check it I think is a bit of an overstatement! To be told the hot tub could have a leak isn’t what customers want to hear is it really!? Accommodation 10/10 Cleanses 10/10 Hot Tub 7/10 would be 10/10 if the water didn’t keep dropping maybe if this was checked BEFORE check in’s it wouldn’t have happened! Privacy around hot tub could be improved as there was a party next door with 6 blokes who could see EVERYTHING!
