The hotel itself is very nice and the room spacious and comfortable. The staff is friendly. The problem is with the billing. I prepaid for the room but due to a billing system error, the hotel didn't recognize the prepayment and pre-authorized upon arrival a much higher credit card payment to cover the room. They only recognized my prepayment when I dug out the prior credit card charge and showed it to them, so this was a stressful way to arrive after a long journey to Berlin. When I checked out five days later, I explained the issue I had upon check in and asked to see a final invoice to ensure it was correct, but they said the billing system was down and they couldn't share it with me, but they would contact me if additional charges were due. A few days later I received a charge for breakfast and incidentals, including mini bar charges I didn't incur. I contacted the hotel to reverse the mini bar charges, but never heard back, so I disputed those charges with my credit card company. It is a nice hotel with a pleasant staff, but I probably wouldn't select again as I found the billing issues too stressful for what was supposed to be a relaxing break in Berlin.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Very special building, friendly staff and great facilities. The rooms are well planned and comfortable with great city views to the front. Access to the neighbouring health centre was a major bonus. Overall fantastic.

Popped in for a drink after the basketball. There is a restaurant also that looked good. Drinks menu extensive, we gad cocktails and wine in our group. Great vibe with DJ playing music. Decor and seating areas look good. Prices reasonable for the vibe of bar.

Lovely. Nice rooms and staff. The only thing that I did not like was the absence of room service after 22:00.

Great hotel with superb athmosphere and design. All nice and clean in the room. The staff very friendly and professional, especially in the reception. In the bar there is still some progress to do before a top top class.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Room was spacious and the city view was worth it for the sunrises in the morning. The hotel is very quiet. Easily accessible by public transport and walking to major sites. Staff were great. Breakfast was very good.

Very quiet hotel. Great big room, big windows and a comfortable bed. The light switches were majorly confusing and never operated properly, it was the absolute strangest thing ever. LOL! It was a full-on puzzle. The hotel looks like it would be five stars but the service was minimal -- it actually seemed sort of understaffed. In fact, they forgot to service my room with housekeeping. Sort of astonishing. The restaurant and bar were large but pretty empty -- it might have been the time of year for my visit. The breakfast was exceptionally good.

Great hotel with style and a sense of history. Best location in Berlin. Next to the Museum Island and the Hackesche Markt. Highly recommend!
