Rose Garden Inn

Questo è un hotel molto carino. È molto buono in termini di igiene e ambiente. Anche il parcheggio è molto comodo.

In desperate need of repair. Room musty, previous guest tore out smoke detector to smoke I suspect, dirty towels left behind, can’t do attitude by staff. Pros: Good location, outdoor areas charming, close to downtown and UC campus. The complimentary coffee was great, Peets I think.

This place has terrible guest service! They called us twice while we were on our way here checking how many people were in our party. When we arrived they had given our room away to another group and we were forced to stay in a room that did not have enough beds for our group. They refuse to give us a refund or another room! Do not stay here.

The sofa in our room, a premium king bed one, was ripped in many places, the carpet had lots of large stains and all the furniture looked like it came from a second hand store. When in the lobby to get coffee in the morning, I asked if there was any milk, since no dairy product was out, the clerk told me milk was on order. He could have gone across the street to get some. We cancelled our reservations to stay there for 3 more nights later in the week. The exterior facade is peeling all over.

Rate it a 2. Property is run down. They called the day of to tell us we no longer has a room. This was on a Cal football weekend. Then after some haggling they told us they could accommodate us. Our friends checked in earlier and they tried to put them in a room with two small beds for four people even though they reserved the correct room. We got in late after a delayed flight and two of the beds in our room were not made. I was told to come down to the basement to pick up bedding so I could make up the beds. The attic room is big but stuffy. It’s loud as the windows need to be open and it overlooks telegraph. Beds were comfortable. But we will never come back. I can’t be called the day I’m checking in to be told too bad and the fact that I had small children with me and had to make up beds at 10pm was ridiculous.

This is a cute and friendly spot to spend the night when in Berkeley, CA. We were a happy family in a historic and lovely inn. No, it doesn't have the amenities of the Ritz, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

This was by far, the worst hotel I have ever visited! When I arrived the person at the front desk was extremely rude. She insisted that I had not paid for the hotel until I showed her the charge on my bank statement! The lobby smelled like stale cigarettes. I was informed that I would be staying in a room with no curtains. The front desk person would not change my room until I insisted that I would not stay in the "no curtains" room. There was debris and garbage all around the outside grounds. The wifi did not work. Finally, I spoke with another guest who had been waiting for the staff to return to the front desk for 15 minutes so she could check out, and she informed me that there was no hot water, her room was filthy, and her bed was broken so that she rolled to the side. I decided to pay for another hotel. I am still waiting for the property owner to contact me about a refund of the room fee and security fee. Very poor conditions and customer service!
