My wife and I were excited to be among the earliest visitors to this stunningly renovated hotel. Hotel staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Unfortunately, our enthusiasm waned as we discovered that the hotel still has some way to go before we could confidently recommend it to others. Issues started cropping up shortly after check-in. Our key card for the room didn’t work, and took several trips back and forth before it was properly activated. In our room, the air conditioning was non-functional, with the temperature remaining at 26°C / 79°F. Despite bringing this to the attention of multiple staff members, the problem remained unresolved. After an uncomfortable first night of attempting to sleep in a warm room, the hotel offered to change our room. We undertook the task of relocating from the 5th floor to the 2nd floor, only to realize that the AC in the new room wasn't working either, with no solution from the staff. It left us wondering why the room wasn't checked for proper functioning before having us move. In the second room, we noticed peculiar marks on the sheets. Pulling them back, we encountered bugs crawling on the mattress, leaving us feeling repulsed. We checked out, providing the front desk with photos and details of the situation. They offered no support or refund, only an apology and said they’ll call an exterminator. Pros: * Very friendly staff, especially in the restaurant * Excellent inclusive breakfast * Upscale design elements Cons: * Presence of bugs/insects on the mattress (I won't speculate on the type) * Non functioning AC * Showers leak, leading to bathroom flooding * Automatic closet light turns off when opened and remains on when closed, causing light leakage into the room at night * Absence of top sheets on the bed

In sintesi, è comodo e pulito

My recent stay at Five Points Square in Belgrade provided a mixed experience, but ultimately, it was satisfactory. The standout feature of this hotel is undeniably its convenient location. The location was just super convenient and central. Situated right next to the Republic Square, which is literally the heart of the city, the meeting point of locals, in close proximity to main attractions (within 15 minutes walk) it offered easy access to explore the surrounding area, which was a definite plus. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay. The room itself was fairly small, clean and adequately furnished. The bed was comfortable, and I had a decent night's sleep. The bathroom was clean. The building was old and showed signs of wear and tear. The hotel rents 2 or 3 floors of the administrative building as I understood. This hotel could be a suitable choice for budget-conscious travelers looking for a centrally located base to explore the area. Upon check out, I've asked the front manager to show me bigger rooms. The room I was shown had a great view of the Republic Square. I will consider staying in this room again for my next visit this summer

Ideally located hotel. Stay here to be within walking distance to many bars, restaurants, shops, museums & sights. All the staff we encountered were very polite & spoke very good English. They were always willing to offer tips for restaurants, sights & transportation around the city. The breakfast had a great selection of healthy options along with the choice of freshly cooked meals. Even though the hotel is situated near to many bars, restaurants & the main shopping street, we never had a bad nights sleep. The rooms were well appointed & kept spotlessly clean. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed one night at the Location Hotel so didn't spend very long there.
The hotel was fine and the room was clean and comfortable. Despite the room facing on to a road and being on the ground floor, it wasn't noisy at all.
Finding parking was very difficult but that's not surprising given the the town centre location. The hotel did have a reserved space outside which cost €12 per night. The location was excellent, being close to shops and a 10min walk to the main square.

UUtente ospiteFrom start to finish, our experience at Public House was excellent. Our pick up driver was waiting with our name upon exciting. He drove well and even provide us with details about the sites. Check in at the hotel was efficient. The room was cozy, clean and comfortable. We loved having the espresso machine to wake up to. Breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL! Overseen by a most pleasant host/barista and the chef who explained all the tasty treats. We loved our stay so much at Public House we stayed there on our return trip. Belgrade is a fabulous city full of delightful sights and people!
UUtente ospiteSuperb stay at this excellent hotel. Brand new place, impeccably clean spacious rooms, excellent rain shower! 5’ walk to the most gorgeous orthodox church of St Sava and a pleasant 20’ walk through the pedestrian street, to Kalemegdan Park and Fortress. There was a protest in Belgrade, but the head concierge wrote us ahead of time, warning us, so we decided to get their private airport car who knew all the inside roads and detours, and got us there in a jiffy. Their breakfast is plentiful and their restaurant serves tasty Serbian specialties. A special mention to Arandgel and Novak, who gave great suggestions for restaurants and things to do in Belgrade.
Tornerei e consiglierei a chiunque!
UUtente ospiteReflecting on our experience at Joy5 Hotel & ”SPA” in Belgrade: Hotel Staff: We extend our commendation to the hotel staff for their consistent warmth and professionalism. Their practice of rising to greet guests upon entry is a testament to their hospitality. However, it's worth mentioning the logistical challenge posed by the 150-meter distance between the drop-off point and the hotel entrance, particularly with luggage in tow. While a golf cart service is available, its operational reliability remains inconsistent, occasionally necessitating a walk during inclement weather. Housekeeping Service: Our experience with the housekeeping service leaves room for improvement. For guests staying beyond a couple of days, the expectation of refreshed towels and bed linens is reasonable. Regrettably, this anticipation often requires proactive reminders, accompanied by a degree of reluctance from the staff. A more accommodating approach in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Accommodation and Facilities: Turning our attention to the accommodation, our reservation for a ”queen” room revealed an unconventional configuration involving twin-sized platforms and an additional top pad. The usage of a simple sheet as a bed cover resulted in nightly adjustments, and imperfections in the sheets themselves were observed. An attached photographic record is available for reference. The confines of the shower area present limitations, with water overflow being a noticeable concern. On a positive note, a surplus of aging towels is readily provided to address such situations. Locale and Surroundings: The hotel's location along the Danube contributes to a serene and tranquil atmosphere. Additionally, the convenience of proximity to a modestly-sized mall enhances the overall guest experience. The availability of fresh air further adds to the appeal of the surroundings. Overall Impression: In conclusion, our stay was marked by enjoyment and contentment. However, considering the tariff structure, it is reasonable to anticipate a slightly elevated level of service and quality. It is pertinent to note that our attempt to secure an upgrade was met with assurances that were not subsequently fulfilled. This situation, although mildly disappointing, did not significantly detract from our overall experience. Our assessment of the stay remains generally positive.
UUtente ospiteI am so embarrassed that out of all the places I travelled to, this one happened to be in my own country. We were getting married on the week of our stay, namely Saturday and have made a booking in 2 parts - Wed, Thu small room they have, Sat-Mon, big luxurious one with the glass roof for our wedding. As far as the little room goes: It was horrible. I read some people complained but I didn't believe so we went ahead. The room is in a separate building two doors down. The building itself is in ruins and is having some construction done around. They have 4 rooms in the same corridor behind a locked door, one next to the other. So first thing, as of early morning and long into the night there is CONSTANT banging of doors as people go in and out. Further, room is musty as hell! Tiny window overlooks this shabby backyard and makes it dark and gloomy. Then comes the main part, it was filthy! I fell so bad not having taken the photos! Bin in the bathroom had the new bag in it, but underneath the bag was rubbish from the previous day. My partner put a towel over the glass barrier of the shower to dry and when he took it back, it was BLACK. In the toilet there was only an empty shell of the bowl cleaner and then the sink was all smudged EVERYWHERE. But we stuck with it as we knew on Saturday we would be checking into the nice one and it was convenient to just move stuff 2 doors than go somewhere else. Then the real horror started. We scraped some money to book a nice place to get ready for our wedding and spent our first wedding night. We chose this place as it looked so nice in the photos. It was NOT cheap, people don’t pay rent for a month in Belgrade in the amount they charged for 3 nights. Taken by the experience of the horrible room we stayed in, I told the receptionist we wanted to see the big room before we go in as we don’t want the same. They said ok and took us. On the way to the room the receptionist tells us “it is a little warm”. That weekend was extremely hot. We go up and the apartment is BOILING. The only AC they have is set on 17 degrees (none in the bedrooms) and it is still super hot. Mind you the place has a glass roof so it is like an aquarium. Then, it was NOT like in the pictures, there are chips and damages everywhere, and is not at all looking fabulous like in those pictures they put but more worn out. We asked for 5 minutes to think about and the guy let us and left. We sat there for 5 minutes SWEATING and looking around and thinking there is no way that I will be getting ready for my wedding, taking beautiful pictures and spending my first night as a married couple there. Plus the glass was opened into the yard and neighbors from the other floor could see straight in. We came down and said we will not stay. They said, ok, call Booking.com and let them know. They were more or less ok about it and we left, the day before our wedding, running around Belgrade looking for a place to stay. I called Booking and they said they would ask
UUtente ospiteThe warm and friendly attitude of dear receptionist Peca, who hosted me in a very sincere manner, explaining in detail the places to visit and the restaurants to eat at, really impressed me, making me feel right at home. The hotel's location is excellent, and I think this is the most important aspect when you're in Belgrade. The time spent in the room is very limited, but of course, the amenities provided by the room are quite good. There is a double-glazing system, so the city noise doesn't come inside. The ceiling is very high, and the room design is very modern. The bathtub in the room enhances the overall appearance, and there is also an additional bathroom. I was very satisfied, and I know where I’ll be staying when I come to Belgrade again. What kind of view awaits you when you step out of the hotel? I've attached a photo (02.09.2024)

UUtente ospiteWhere to start, when booking on booking.com it seemed ok. The reviews seemed OK and it looked like a lot of business people stayed there. However, when we checked in, the first room we got (Room 131 first floor) was just as bright at night when the lights were off as when the lights were on. This was due to the large light directly outside the window lighting the large sign on the side of the hotel. We went straight back to the reception to get the room changed as it was unacceptable. The receptionist changed the room but we had to have single beds, which was not the worst trade off. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The second room on the 4th floor (Room 428) was better, only just. It was still effected by the light outside but not as bad and the curtains did enough of a job to cut it out slightly. There was three single beds in the room. The room wasn't exactly clean, but was tolerable as the sheets were clean. The pillows were uncomfortable. The bed was OK. There was a storage nook with no coat hangers but one hanger on the wall for your jackets. The walls were very dirty and had marks all over them. The toilet had a door with no handle on the inside, a broken frame on the inside so you couldn't close it fully as it jammed on the floor but you wouldn't want to shut it all the way as you couldn't reopen it due to no handle on the door. They said the room had been refurbished? The bathroom was a bit better, probably the best room in the apartment. The breakfast in the adjacent hotel was overpriced and not the best. I didn't like having to sit in the breakfast area with people smoking. I know its a European thing but we don't have that back in Australia were its banned from smoking in restaurants / eating areas. Pricing was OK but still found that it was to much for the low standard of the room. In doing further research when we got home, one of the reviews of the hotel was about the room with the light. Its in a good area with transport and close to the St Sava temple. I'd probably stay away from it if your looking for a place in Belgrade. It was the two rooms we got that put us off this hotel.
