We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for a wedding. We had never stayed at a Park Hyatt but assumed the brand was on par with St. Regis, Four Seasons, Ritz, etc. We were greatly mistaken. Dated rooms aside, the most disappointing aspect was the service. For a luxury hotel, there was zero service. The hotel bar was never open, even when it was supposed to be open. The wine options throughout the hotel were either unavailable or plain awful. The on-property restaurant had well executed food, but a small menu such that we had no desire to go back and order the same meal. Typical luxury hotels have room service available 24 hours, or at the very least 11pm, but here it ends at 9pm, including weekends. And as we learned, if you want your room cleaned at a normal time (e.g. during the day while you are gone for 6 hours), you have to explicitly request that. Some of these issues may have been due to labor shortages, but there was never a shortage of front desk associates even late into the evening. Perhaps our expectations weren’t inline with what a Park Hyatt truly is, but this experience was bad enough that we are now canceling another Park Hyatt reservation in Milan for later this month.
