Siquijor: hotel con bar

I don’t know anyone that couldn’t love this place! This was our last accommodation on our Philippines backpacking trip – a little treat to finish. We were recommended to visit Siquijor by a local we had met in Puerto Princesa, so we thought, why not! Not only did this become my favourite island, but I believe a huge part of this is because of Infinity Heights. We were super lucky to visit during a quiet period (start of the rainy season), but we’ve created memories here we will never forget. Firstly, we were beautifully greeted by the front of house staff, whom, I promise, will already make your stay so perfect as they made sure our guest experience was the highest it can be. Nothing was ever too big of an ask. If you love dogs, there are a couple of onsite adorable dogs who are very well behaved and respect your space, but also love a cuddle! The room (we stayed in room 10), was outstanding. It was clean, lovely, modern but simple décor, a big balcony with views that honestly took my breath away. For me, it felt like a place I could easily call my home. Speaking of home, the owners live onsite and came over to chat with us. Gary and Christy are the sweetest people, it’s very clear they take a lot of pride in their home and their business. As owners, I feel they tick every box. We’ve felt so cared about and wanted here, and we’ve not come spending money. It’s just been about getting to know each other. They’ve put a lot of hard work into the resort, and you can see through their staff how happy and attentive everyone is who works here. They gave us local insight knowledge and even treated us to a night of music! Christy performed some well-known songs, whilst Gary, my partner and two other guests assisted in the mini band – it’s a night that can’t be explained, as it was an unexpected taste of paradise. We felt 100% happy, content and relaxed, it’s an evening we will always cherish. We stayed after the music finished and continued chatting to Christy and Gary about everyday things and cultural differences. We wanted them to know how good their staff was as well, and they just seemed so heart warmingly proud of the business they have created. The last thing to mention is the views and the pool. JUST WOW. I wish we had more time here (or just lived here). We spent a whole evening in the pool watching the sun set over views that you can’t beat. It was emotionally beautiful, and we both miss this place so much!

This place is awesome, the service is great, everyone is there to help you to have a great experience specially Al the manager of the hotel, whatever you want he's there to make happen for you, also special thanks to Indey, she's the second in command, the service she gave me was 10 stars, food was delicious, I would recommend this hotel to family and friends

È meglio venire a Jelly Sea Resort e questo è un resort privato, se questo posto è molto bello, buono sguardo di fronte vista di fondo e la stanza è così sorprendente. Tutti i dipendenti sono molto accoglienti per noi e penso che il loro capo sia anche molto amichevole perché penso che ci controlla sempre solo per assicurarsi che ci sia stato divertimento e che la zona sia sicura. .Una cosa che mi piace davvero in questo resort è molto bella all'interno delle camere e mi fa impressionare.

A friend and I vacationed at cocogrove resort from May 19-23. It was the best vacation experience we shared in the past three years. The resort is huge and beautiful with gorgeous lush tropical trees spread throughout the 8 hectars. The staff were very friendly and helpful answering questions and making excellent suggestions and recommendation from food choices to local tourist sites to visit. The food was awesome and the Spectacular Buffet dinner and show. The performers were excellent dancers and talented singers. The stroll through the Temple Spa did it for me. The Bali statues, beautiful carvings and spiritual atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful. I've contacted friends I know who are thinking of visiting the philippines.Cocogrove resort on Siquijor is a must vacation experience.

Il nuovo edificio è stato completato solo 3 mesi prima e è stupendo. Piscina con spaziose camere piacevoli. La piscina immaginata sul loro sito era stata appena rinnovata e ha un jacuzzi in un unico punto. Charlie ha messo le bolle ogni volta che ci siamo avvicinati. Tutti i dipendenti erano così utili e non potevano fare abbastanza per noi. Anche prendere i miei sandali per una riparazione. Luki ha ordinato il trasporto per noi a prezzi competitivi e ci ha mostrato i migliori posti di massaggio da andare. Luki e Charlie ci hanno invitati alla festa di compleanno di Luki, è stato bello e divertente. La colazione a un costo aggiuntivo era buona e abbondante. Il nuovo chef ha fatto deliziosi pasti principalmente tradizionale Filipino - mangiamo molte volte durante il nostro soggiorno. Per favore dare a questo posto una possibilità che sia stato un progresso di lavoro e ora la fine è in vista. Ho avuto il migliore tempo che abbia mai avuto qui.

Bellissimo resort con fattore di benessere assoluto e perfetto per la resistenza 🧡 Abbiamo prenotato il resort per un breve fermo insulare e siamo stati assolutamente entusiasti del flair unico e del così impegnato Equipe ospitante intorno a Marcel che hanno fatto il soggiorno un fermo davvero speciale! Grazie per il bel tempo con voi, spero che ci ritroveremo :)

We want to thank the owner Gri and staff at this lovely hotel! The warmth and welcome we felt was phenomenal, as well as the service. The highlight of the stay was the gorgeous pool and view. We loved beginning and ending each day with a dip and hearing the waves crash as we fell asleep. Magical! The flowers and trees on the property are stunning and the rooms are comfortable and reasonably appointed. The beds are firm by western standards but being that we are Americans who live in China, we love this for our backs! We ate breakfast every morning and one of our dinners in the hotel restaurant and it is very high quality, tasty food. I especially loved the organic spinach and homemade dumplings, as well as the mapo tofu- YUM! The fresh fruit each day was crisp and delicious and I LOVED drinking coconuts by the pool. Thank you, Cherry! Coffee is for purchase at the restaurant, not in the rooms. The location of the hotel is quite remote, meaning it is peaceful and quiet. I recommend you arrange transportation for excursions in advance each day, or rent a scooter, as waiting for a tricycle can be long. We were told that you can swim and snorkel in front of the hotel but the tide was too low when we tried one day. However, there are snorkels and kayaks for use in the hotel! The hotel is still developing some of the water activities available. The pool is deep enough for diving courses, but check to make sure they are ready, as the gear is still in order as of Oct 2023. There are snorkel and dive spots a short ride away, however, and you can ask for help at the desk to book a tour or connect with a dive shop.

Un piccolo ma accogliente appartamento con splendide spaziose ”villaggi di spiaggia” che avevano molte camere per la nostra famiglia di quattro (la nostra aveva due grandi doppioni e un letto in esso), e altri tipi di camere disponibili. Ha una propria sezione della spiaggia bianca di sabbia con hammocks, salotto e tavolo seduti accanto a un bellissimo ristorante aperto e una piscina ragionevole. Il bagno della nostra villa era un po' stanco e la doccia non era grande, ma è molto pulita e fornita di asciugamani e tovaglie. Il cibo era buono, il colazione non aveva una grande gamma, ma abbastanza per tenerci andati per le 3 notti che eravamo li', e il menu di cena era anche ragionevole e il cibo era delizioso. Non tutto era sempre disponibile, ma ci sono altri piatti intorno, quindi non ti importa di fare un breve giro. L'unica cosa che a volte è stata un po' irritante è stato il resort vicino alla porta e i vicini che giocavano musica a un livello che si è incontrato con la musica del ristorante, forse perché era Natale, tutti giocavano musica, ma a volte ha avuto un po' di musica. Ci sono stati segni in Villas Biancas che chiedono di tenere il rumore in basso e di rispettare i vicini. Mi chiedo se i vicini necessitano anche di alcuni...!

We enjoyed a 2 night stay at Infinity Sands. We also visited their sister hotel, Infinity Heights, which I have reviewed separately. There were a few issues at this hotel, some of which were out of the hotels control. Others involve staff training suggestions. However, before I start, this place deserves the 5 Star rating I have given it. The wonderful staff, who tried so hard to make our stay pleasant, more than made up for any areas of concern. Firstly the room we had was spotlessly clean, large with a wonderfully comfortable King Size Double Bed. Tasteful furnishings. Lovely hot shower. For the price point it was exceptionally good value. We experienced both dinner and breakfast at the sea front restaurant. Each time the tables were spotlessly clean and set out nicely prior to our arrival. The breakfast is very good value at just less than 300 pesos including filtered coffee. Recommended. Service staff were polite, professional and very attentive. As a training issue, maybe they should pay a little more attention to their listening skills so that they deliver what a customer actually requests. I mean this as a constructive suggestion. Not a criticism. For example when ordering fried eggs for breakfast and then ( on one occasion) to receive omelettes , is not really appropriate. The chefs are clearly very talented and spend time with lovely dinner presentations but the food needs to be hot. Dinner, as husband and wife, in my view, means that main courses should be served together not 15 minutes apart. My wife has finished her, barely warm, spaghetti dish, before my main course even arrived. Not the best of situations but, having owned and operated restaurants myself in The Philippines, I know the value of staff training, particularly as regards multi tasking and timing of dish preparations. My main course was superb. Hot and very well presented. My last recommendation to the hotel management is to sit down and discuss with the bar next door, as regards their playing of late music late into the evening. It is supposed to finish at 10pm but on our second night went on until 11.30pm, albeit at a slightly lower volume. Overall this place is 5 Star for value, location and their wonderful and hard working staff.
