Hotel Best Western a Bangkok

Spoiler alert - I've had significant problems with Marriott recently. We tried Best Western as much out of desperation as anything, using the BW status match to get Diamond Elite. Conclusion is one word - amazing! I've tried status matches before but they have rarely paid off. The Best Western offer and outcomes though are superb. We were matched immediately to the top tier and were offer a new promotion as soon as we joined. Took it and now have 10,000 points on a roll and just booked our next stay for the end of the month. Try it... it's a great offer! To the hotel... I used to stay on Soi 18 a decade o so ago and had forgotten this little corner of the Sukhumvit area. The world has changed drastically since then but Soi 20 has signs of life and so we were quite happy when we rolled up to the BW Plus @ 20. It is not a big property, there are (very) limited parking options and it doesn't have an onsite catering facility that is open. But... we were upgraded immediately to a suite and those rooms, for the price we paid, would be hard to beat in any property in central Bangkok. Large lounge with a desk; large bathroom - with a bath where I fell asleep one night it was that comfortable! - and double sinks... all the basics there and then the separate bedroom is large and well-appointed. It is not a new property and there were some maintenance issues that needed resolving like some plug sockets not working and no bath plug. But for goodness sake... we paid less than 1500 baht and would have paid three times that (and currently much more, what IS going on with Marriott in Bangkok?) for less facilities along Sukhumvit. The hotel doesn't have F&B but does get a 20% discount at The Deck next door and we had a very decent supper there the second night, good quality food and a broad menu. Compliments also to Kawin, who checked us in the first night and was doing Reception almost single-handedly. No fuss, no bother and very good service. Thank you Kawinm Best Western and we're booked to go back in a couple of weeks time, fingers crossed for that complimentary upgrade (again!). Final message to my friends at Marriott - Best Western are eating your lunch, guys.

It's a very nice hotel and the staff are very nice and helpful. The room is very clean and quiet. Also, it is very easy for transportation. Sky train right in front of the hotel. Also very close to many shopping malls and thai boxing stadium (Lumpinee stadium). I very much enjoyed staying there. I will definitely go back to stay there again next time I go back to Thailand.

L'hotel è molto conveniente, pulito e confortevole e abbastanza insonorizzato. La colazione nel ristorante è ricca e deliziosa. La reception può aiutare a depositare i bagagli. Ci sono metropolitane, supermercati Lotus e centri commerciali vicino all'hotel. Puoi anche raggiungere a piedi il mercato notturno. C'è una lavanderia e un 7-11 di fronte. La posizione è in una zona residenziale. Le strade sono relativamente strette e ci sono troppi veicoli. Non è sicuro raggiungere a piedi la metropolitana.

Il servizio è buono!! La posizione dell'hotel è vicina alla stazione BTS di Saint Louis e a pochi passi dalla zona di Silom (20 minuti+-). Viene fornito anche il servizio di lavanderia. Il personale può comunicare bene in inglese ed è utile. La camera è pulita, wifi potente, il letto è comodo, aria condizionata potente. L'unico svantaggio è la mia camera proprio di fronte al ripostiglio dell'hotel. Quindi un po' rumoroso la mattina. Nessuno spazzolino e dentifricio forniti, ma non è un grosso problema, possono essere facilmente ottenuti dalle 7 alle 11. L'esperienza complessiva è buona! Altamente raccomandato.
