This is the third time we stayed at the Mak Hotel in 2024. While our experience in July was excellent, our stay from December 13th to 15th was terrible. The service was appalling – the bath tap wasn’t working, and when we called reception, they asked us to wait for two minutes but didn’t respond for over an hour. After calling 5-6 times and waiting three hours, they finally suggested we switch rooms, which was highly inconvenient. Room service was poor, and the kitchen service was even worse. During checkout on December 15th, we expressed our dissatisfaction, and they explained that they had recently changed their staff and assured us of better service in the future. Trusting their word, we stayed there again on December 20th while returning from Ooty, but it was a mistake. This time, the service was even worse.
