Moxy Banff resulted from a 30 million dollar makeover of Banff’s first commercial motor hotel, The Voyager Inn, originally constructed in 1964. Moxy Banff is a bold mid-century design anchored in the centre by Bar Moxy and flanked on both sides by expansive rundle stone walls and unique precast guest wings that float over the parkades. The guest experience starts with a trip back in time as you enter the hotel to check in at Bar Moxy. Lit by an upside-down bear wearing headphones, the check-in experience sets the tone for the fun ahead as every guest receives a complimentary cocktail. The bar evokes a retro ski vibe with its racetrack design and chairlift-inspired liquor baskets.Bar Moxy’s doors open right onto the courtyard, a fun social space perfect for lounging by the fire or taking a dip in the hot pools. stayed at this wonderful hotel in banff.. the location was very near the city center.. new and clean

This is a new hotel opened in April 2024. We love the Moxy brand and were excited to stay here on the site of the historic Voyager Inn. I am Ambassador Elite status and got a great upgrade to a large corner room. Just so much space ! I meet the hotel manager (Sudeep) and he sent a love gift of flower to our room for my wife with a 2025 Rockies Calendar for myself. The other staff were all great and everyone had a "yes I can sort that attitude". Alex on the bar was really excellent and totally committed to the Moxy brand. The location is a small walk to the centre of Banff (say 15min) but multiple restaurants and bars are on-route. Closest is ＜3min away. If you are a loyal Marriott travelling and you have never tried a Moxy then give it a try? A big thanks to the whole Banff Moxy team for a great stay

Really cool room layout and design. Very friendly staff. Loved the gym, pool and hot tub. Parking is avail for about $20CAD a day but there is free street parking right out back. Food was pretty good - I highly recommend the brisket poutine. Only downside - No real Marriott elite benefits as it is a "resort" property.

This message is more about Justin who works there . He is amazing and was so super helpful ! I wish he worked at every hotel we stayed at 🙏 staff was great room was great , location great . Only thing is I wish the shower got hotter 🤷♀️. Coffee in lobby was delish too

A long walk from the town, bus service also available. Basic rooms, takes a bit of time to get used to it be lack of decor and open format with exposed ceilings. Room size is ok, has no wardrobe, but only hangers. Wi-Fi is good, the front office lively. Offers a semblance of a breakfast in the mornings. Staff is helpful

We stayed on points so I can't complain about the price, but I would not stay here again if I had to pay. There is no storage in the room (closet or dresser) so you have to live out of your suitcase for the week. You could either have hot water or water pressure in the shower, not both, and the bathroom had a glass door with no soundproofing so hopefully you know your travel companions well:) The staff was great however, and the lobby/bar area was very fun.

This was the perfect hotel to stay in especially with friends. We knew it was going to be nice but we didn't know that it could exceed our expectations in terms of comfort and entertainment. The hot tub and the pool was also perfect. The food was also really good for its price.

The whole place was so beautiful. The hotel looked very modern, and there are lots of activities to do in the lobby. All the hotel crews and staff were very nice and helpful despite it being very busy, and the hotel food was so delicious ! The room we stayed in was clean and the beds were very comfortable. My friends and I had a wonderful weekend and will definitely be staying there when we go back to Banff!

The place was very nice and comfy! It's very convenient that they have a "stash" cabinet for guests. They gave you different food selection to enjoy and share with your family and friends!! Kudos to all crews they were very accomdating and nice.
