Sembra di essere stati catapultati in una storia indietro nel tempo… un piccolo borgo in cima ad una collina dove tutto è Newari!! Case, persone, bazar, hotel… Mai avremmo pensato di trovare un posto così inaspettatamente insolito e oserei direi delicato. Delicato e’ la parola corretta: delicata la via chiusa al traffico dove si snodano case colorate,delicati i caffè, delicati i ristoranti dove si incontrano bellissime fanciulle sorridenti ed un delicato emporio nel quale possiamo trovare veramente di tutto. L’albergo è una favola, la gentilezza che oramai imperversa nel nostro tour accompagnata da insolite ricercatezze tipiche dei più prestigiosi hotel europei. Veramente raccomando!! Ovviamente per chi è nei paraggi.

Un posto meraviglioso! Mi è piaciuto tutto, dal panorama, alle camere, al cibo, all'atmosfera serale, bellissimo! Il personale davvero squisito, molto gentile e disponibile nonché attento al cliente. Consiglio vivamente di soggiornare presso questa struttura.

I had a wonderful stay at the Old Inn Hotel in Bandipur! The atmosphere is incredibly charming, and the hospitality of the staff is warm and welcoming. The rooms are clean, cozy, and offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The breakfast was a delight, featuring fresh, local ingredients. I can highly recommend this hotel – a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature! Five stars from me!

What a relaxing place to stay, especially after a few weeks hiking! The staff were truly impeccable, friendly and helpful, catering to your needs before you even have to ask. The restaurant food is delicious, and the restaurant patio has a really nice ambience. The rooms are authentic and waking up to views of the himalayas is really special.

Our family recently stayed at The Old Inn in Bandipur, and it was an unforgettable experience. This 100-year-old heritage building has been beautifully restored to welcome guests while preserving its historic charm. Staying here felt like stepping back in time, surrounded by the serene ambiance of this heritage town. The best part? Absolute peace, with no sounds of vehicles disrupting the tranquility. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay!

We were greeted with hot towels and hibiscus tea on the terrace. This was delightful as we had just finished a trek and a long drive. The rooms were lovely with a magnificent view out to the Himalayas. Breakfast the next morning was the best we had in Nepal. Staff were great.

We stayed two nights in the Old Inn in Bandipur and we were sad to leave. The hotel is a living museum of Newari craftmansship with what feels like a hundred nooks and balconies to sit, relax and enjoy the view of the valley or people watch the Main Street. We had dinner at the restaurant both nights because it was so good and ambience in the garden is beautiful with views and lights. Staff was always friendly, attentive and helpful! We would recommend this hotel to any travelers coming to Nepal.

The building is old and nice. Rooms were clean but dark and with low ceiling. There are no glass windows, only wooden plates to cover the window openings. Sleeping was difficult, a lot of noise from the festivities on the street (as my windows were facing the street). The staff was friendly and very helpful. The electricity is an issue, as the dinner in the near darkness it not the thing I usually enjoy.

We absolutely loved the Old Inn! It is a stunning building, so full of character and completely charming. Our room (which was actually two rooms and a shower room and twisty corridors) was clean and comfortable with lots of quirky original features. It had a balcony overlooking the main (pedestrianised) road below where we sat in the sun and ate our lunch. There is water in glass bottles but there isn’t a kettle in the room however we ordered tea out on the terrace and when we went to pay they said there was no charge. The staff as a whole couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful and everything ran very smoothly. The evening meal (a set curry menu with lots of dishes) was delicious (as was lunch) and we ate outside on the terrace with lights twinkling in the trees - it was totally magical. Breakfast was also good, all very fresh, freshly cooked and plentiful. I would recommend The Old Inn to anyone - it was a unique and very memorable stay.
