Lebak Nelayan

Just spent 3 nights here (Aug 2022) and liked it, have given an excellent rating for the benefit of the doubt. Firstly: location - it is in a quiet side street and there was little noise which was great, and it is a short walk to Nalayan road with all of its cafes, restaurants and bars and just 5-7 minute walk to the beach. So it's really convenient. There is a 7/11 type mart just 2 minutes in the opposite direction. Staff were very nice and helpful so a thank you to them. The room was good enough size for double, clean with a/c working properly. the bed was good size with firm mattress (I saw another review where they didn't like that! but I like it, it's not the hardest bed I have slept on for sure - just right for me). Property was in good order and kept clean, the pool is like a plunge pool but its good enough for what you pay. Breakfast was nice, Balinese coffee (tasty and muddy!), a nice small plate of fresh fruits and choice of eggs on toast. Some reviews complain of limited breakfast choice but for the money you pay I think its good enough, maybe they should have some cereal or something. Anyway it was all good. The only slight question marks were the toilet not flushing properly (I used the hose but didn't ask them to fix it, am sure they would have) and the lock worked on the door but was a bit tricky, (again I just dealt with it and didn't ask them to fix and I am sure they would have done) also the wifi was not strongest towards the back of the room (I was upstairs- room 6)and the bathroom (otherwise, rest assured, it was fine everywhere). Some reviews also talk about the rooms on the ground floor being next to the pool, that is true but its a nice relaxed vibe there, people are nice and there are curtains so its just what you are used to / if you are particular. I think the best rooms if you can request are the one furthest at the end on the ground floor (so maybe that is room 1.... or maybe no 4) and upstairs room 7, 8 and 9 have the best views (partial views over fields , building etc - rooms 7 and 8 you can almost see parts of the sea in the distance although is is a way) For me this is a really good place to stay if you don't want to pay for a 5 star hotel or go to some alternative type accommodation, I would be very happy yo come back!
