Alas Petulu Villa Resort and Spa

Великолепный отель :) Мне его порекомендовала подруга - а теперь и я порекомендую другим. Жил я в шикарном бунгало с видом на джунгли и персональным бассейном, однако общий бассейн посещал чаще - потому что он очень красивый. Завтрак ОК, персонал приветливый, чистота и порядок везде. Территория отеля - просто как ботанический сад, на территории есть спа, кафе (правда работает только утром) и места для отдыха. До центра города относительно недалеко, вполне реально дойти пешком.

Overrated hotel. Access to the higher rooms is very dangerous for older people and small children. The stairs do not have any side protection nor hand rail. Families with small children should avoid this place. The upper pool area does not have any protection from falling 3 mtrs. down on the concrete or at best in the lower pool. We booked 5 nights but left after two. Despite complaints via *********** the hotel is not even willing to start a discussion how these things can be improved. Changing the stairs into steps with standardized heights and providing protection and hand rails would not cost a fortune but improve things considerably. The same applies for the upper pool area.

The positives.. A fab find! It is really close to Ubud centre (a 10 minute walk). The room was spacious and had a gorgeous balcony that overlooked the children's pool. We had breakfast on one morning (the others we had tours early!!) The breakfast was tasty and there was a good selection. We had massages at the spa that were good value and super easy to organise! The hotel organised our taxi to and from the airport which was really useful. There is a drinking water dispenser in rooms which was very useful and meant we didn't have to constantly pay for water. A few issues... At times, it was very tricky to find the staff on reception but once we found a gardener they were able to locate them for us. The hotel is having construction work done to build new rooms by the pool. I'm sure these rooms will be lovely but it was pretty noisy to lie by the pool and relax. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and is mostly peaceful, however on 2 nights we could hear really loud music which did impact our sleep. Overall... We would happily stay here again!
