Our stay at the hotel was memorable, largely due to the incredible staff who were exceptionally kind and nice. The rooms were a standout—gorgeous, comfortable, and everything we wanted. We absolutely loved our room! We also had a fantastic experience on the sunrise hike at Mount Batur, organized through the hotel. Our guide was phenomenal, making the trek truly special, though the breakfast could use some improvement. The coffee went cold due to the lack of a thermal flask, and the juices spilled because they weren’t bottled—small details that could elevate the experience. However, there are areas where the hotel falls short of the 5-star service expected for its high price point. While the staff’s warmth is undeniable, service speed needs attention, especially for drink orders and clearing room service trays. These small details prevent the hotel from fully delivering on its luxury promise. On the other hand, arranging tours and drivers was effortless and impressively quick, which we greatly appreciated. We also have some feedback about the inclinator. Needing to call to request it feels inconvenient, and we’d love to see it become automatic and always available in the future. Additionally, the pool in our two-room suite was too cold to use, as it lacks direct sunlight and isn’t heated. Adding a heating system would make it far more enjoyable. Despite these minor hiccups, we had a wonderful stay and appreciated the staff’s genuine hospitality. With some fine-tuning, the hotel could truly justify its premium pricing and offer a flawless 5-star experience. We’d consider returning if these details are addressed.
