My family and I chose Bali Droom Villas to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, hoping for a luxurious and exceptional end to our trip through Singapore and Indonesia. The pictures online looked beautiful, and we were excited for an upper-range resort experience. However, our 6-night stay was bitterly disappointing and did not live up to our expectations or the high price. The villa and premises: A reality check The "stunning" view of the rice fields was not what we imagined. While you can see them, there's no "wow" factor like in Ubud. The area is quite populated, with many local houses and lights visible at night. What was most surprising was the narrow road just a few feet from our villa's pool. Trying to relax was difficult with motorbikes and cars constantly passing by, honking loudly as is common practice. On a few occasions, waste trucks drove past, bringing with them an unpleasant smell that definitely wasn't part of the "dream" experience. The villa itself also had its issues. On arrival, the shades in the kids' room fell down and couldn't be fixed until the next day, making for a difficult first night with a lot of light coming in early. The kitchen felt cheap, with what looked like IKEA cabinets. Our bathroom's water pressure was weak, and the glass ceiling was dusty and dirty. We were also puzzled by the interior decor, which included paintings with Louis Vuitton logos. As Europeans seeking an authentic Balinese experience, this felt incredibly out of place and in poor taste. Cleanliness was also a concern, with bird droppings on the chairs and rotten flowers left around the premises. The staff and management The constant pressure via WhatsApp to pay for our stay in advance before we even arrived was a stressful start. Our flight home was changed, requiring us to leave a day early. When we asked if we could be credited for the last night we would miss, perhaps for food or other services, we were met with an inflexible "no." The management made it clear they would not find a solution, creating a bitter and unaccommodating win-lose situation that left us feeling taken advantage of. The hotel chauffeur's behavior was also a letdown. He was very indiscreet, repeatedly asking why we didn't hire him for local tours. On our last ride to the airport, he stopped at a shop and then asked how much we had spent—a very uncomfortable and unprofessional question. The Prices: Exorbitant and not aligned with the value After speaking with other hotels and restaurants (higher end also), we quickly realized that the prices for all activities and rides offered by the hotel were two to three times higher than alternatives. The on-site restaurant was also overpriced for the quality of the food. For a much better dining experience with an incredible view and fantastic food, we highly recommend the local Bali Asli restaurant. We deeply regret our stay at Bali Droom Villas. Such a wonderful place to stay. Staff are always so well connected, friendly, fun and efficient. Service is spot on. Maintenance and cleanliness is to a very high standard. Food is also fabulous. And then there is the location, which is just stunning, with incredible reviews. I highly recommend Bali Droom Villas. Will definitely be back again

Balidroomvillas is an amazing place to stay! It is our second time this year and it feels like home. First time we stayed in villa pineapple dream which was astonishing! Every little detail has been thought of. Second time we stayed in the adults only area in one of the lodges. Again, so beautiful and refined! The staff is fabulous! Kind, helpful, and ready to give you the best experience! We did several activities - visiting the Lempungyan temple with a guide! It’s a recommendation!! We did a tour in the VW classic with a lunch in the rice fields! And we rented electric MTB’s to visit the water temple. Karangasem area is beautiful and has still preserved its authenticity! No clubbing here! But serenity, peace, nature!! ❤️❤️ Love it!!!

We stayed in one of the villas of Balidroom and it was without a doubt the best hotel we’ve stayed in Bali. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds are super comfortable. We’ve tried the wood oven pizzas and they are simply the best so far! The pools are great to spend the day relaxing and to see the rice paddy’s and neighbouring mount Agung. They even have a giant swing to take great photos. My girlfriend loved it :) Great breakfast and super friendly staff that we will surely revisit the next time we will be back in Bali.

We have been here several times now. Every time it feels like coming home. The staff is really warm and professional. We choose for a villa with butlerservice but you also can choose for only a villa and having your meals in the connecting Lempuyang hotel. I can not emphasize enough how relaxed it is to choose for one of their villas. The views are magnificent, the villas are very clean and with your own pool, you feel like a king. If you like more action, you better stay in the south but if you like to discover the real Bali world, this is a perfect place to stay.

Wat hebben wij een fantastisch verblijf bij Balidroom villa’s gehad!!! Onze mooie en comfortabele villa had een prachtig uitzicht, heerlijk zwembad, fijne zitplekken, was perfect onderhouden en zeer schoon. Het volledige team (van keuken, restaurant, tuin, schoonmaak en ik zal nog veel lieve mensen vergeten) is van het allerhoogste niveau. Vanwege enkele activiteiten hadden we een vroeger ontbijt nodig en de timing was steeds perfect. Dank aan iedereen om van ons verblijf een onvergetelijke herinnering te maken 🤩❤️!!
