Last Minute decision on a Saturday in September to Book a room in this hotel. The procedure of reservation was simple and check in also. Just like in the pre internet days. Very nice and genuine friendly welcome . Nice cosy room . excellent restaurant with great service . I enjoyed the regional wines by the glass and was very well advised. I was told that I could enjoy breakfast from 7:00 until 12:00 . How nice is that! Breakfast was also very good . Real bread … Staff friendly , funny and in good mood with all guest . Badenweiler also a nice therme town . I enjoyed . Will come back . thank you

Das "Sonnenteam" macht seinem Namen alle Ehre - die Herzlichkeit und Serviceorientierung ausnahmslos aller Mitarbeiter/innen und der Familie Birks sucht ihresgleichen. Exzellente Küche auf Sterne-Niveau. Vielfältiges, liebevoll- individuelles und reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet für jeden Geschmack. Wir kommen garantiert wieder!

Das Personal ist ausgezeichnet freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Restaurant sehr gut. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, die Zimmer alt, aber sauber. Rund um ein angenehmer Aufenthalt, jedoch sind die Zimmer eher zu teuer, für was geboten wird.

Sehr gemütliches Hotel mit überaus herzlichen und kinderfreundlichen Gastgebern. Die schicke Lobby mit Blick auf den Innenhof lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Essen ist in jeder Hinsicht hervorragend. Die Auswahl an Wein und anderen Getränken ist hochwertig und man wird kompetent beraten.

Wir sind sehr freundlich von der Chefin empfangen worden, haben einen sehr schönen und gemütlichen Tisch gehabt. Das Ambiente ist außergewöhnlich. Das Essen war hervorragend, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen.

Aus beim dritten Besuch: Grosszügig, freundlich, kompetent und engagiert. Sehr zentral gelegen. Ganz nah zur Cassiopeia Therme (Staatsbad) .Schöne Zimmer und top Restaurant mit ganz feiner gehobener Küche. Sehr zu empfehlen! Ich oder wir kommen wieder.

Wir kennen Badenweiler schon einige Jahre und haben auch die Veränderungen in den letzten Jahren registriert. Der Ort hat einiges an Charme verloren, umso schöner ist es, dass "die Sonne" mit der Übernahme durch Familie Birks jetzt viel heller strahlt. Allein die exzellente Küche, die Weinauswahl und letztlich der tolle und aufmerksame Service unter der Ägide von Catinka Birks sind immer einen Besuch wert. Diese " Sonne" ist definitiv ein großer Gewinn für Badenweiler. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Anfang November 2024 feierte ich mit 32 Gästen meinen runden Geburtstag im Hotel zur Sonne in Badenweiler, das seit Juni dieses Jahres von Catinka und Tom Birks geleitet wird. Die hervorragende Küche, das sehr stilvolle Ambiente und der vorzügliche Service hat dazu geführt, dass alle Gäste von dem Angebot und der Leistung des Teams begeistert waren. Einige von den Gästen, die in den sehr eleganten Zimmern übernachtet haben, waren mir gegenüber am anderen Tag beim gemeinsamen Frühstück voll des Lobes über die Qualität der Speisen und Getränke, die freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung und freuen sich, sich auch künftig in der Sonne in Badenweiler erholen zu können.

Sehr gutes Essen, sehr sauberes Zimmer engagiertes junges Team beim Abendessen, eine sehr freundliche und sehr fröhliche Servicekraft am Frühstücksbuffet haben uns einen schönen Aufenthalt beschert. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen.
