Hotel Ramada a Auckland

Excellent location, walking distance to Skycity for the Sky Drive bus to/fro the airport, and to eateries, car rentals and shopping, plus Albert Park. Room was spacious, clean, fully equipped kitchenette and washer/dryer for laundry (detergent included). Service was prompt and helpful staff. Stayed here twice during my trip!

I have stayed here previously and at Ramada residences across NZ and Australia, this is the worst by far. The shower was not up to Marsden standard. Black mould around the shower interior and when you opened the shower door reminents of the previous client's showering was visible, definitely not cleaned thoroughly or kept up to clean standard . The shower over flowed - you had to lift off the shower drain cap to view even more mould so that the water would run down the drain. Highlighted this to reception with photos emailed they said they would get this looked at...came back to the room bed was made...shower still the same black mould. Absolutely disappointing

The room was clean, the shower hot, the bed comfortable and the air con powerful - all the things you expect in a mid/budget range hotel. But what really set this one out form the others were the staff. So friendly and helpful. I arrived very early (9am) so my room wasn't ready so they stored my luggage for me and I came back later. They had already put my bags in my room for me ready. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Whilst I'd expect that in a top hotel, that sort of going the extra distance I don't usually find in a mid/budget range. I would stay again
